I've been using Fructose for years and believe that Swanson has the best packaging method for Fructose.
When using Fructose, many folks do not realise Fructose is metabolised via the liver and if you enjoy soft drinks, it is unwise to use Fructose because of weight gain and potential health concerns. I rarely use soft drinks and only use Fructose in the one cup of coffee I enjoy daily. I believe the key to healthy eating is to do everything "in moderation".

This is an amazing natural sweetener! We have found it to work in anything you would normally use white sugar in, which is something you can't say about most sweeteners. For instance, we have found that sometimes raw sugar is too crunchy, not sweet enough, or has too much of a molasses taste for some things, and stevia is too bitter for some things, such as baked goods containing chocolate (because both stevia and chocolate have a sweet/bitter taste, the bitterness is strong when we have used stevia or a stevia/raw sugar combo in chocolate cupcakes .) Not so with fructose! It works in foods that are hard to use sugar substitutes in--egg salad, for instance. The crystals are the same size as white sugar, so the crystals don't need to dissolve to avoid "crunchiness" like raw sugar does.
If you've never tried Swanson's Fructose before, I highly recommend it!

I bought this to replace zylitol. This fructose is almost as good as the zylitol, but less expensive. I use it in my yogurt cheese.

I've been using Fructose for many years. It is a bit sweeter than regular sugar (sucrose) and is naturally found in fruits. Before switching to Swanson's I had to purchase it in a plastic bag format from a different firm. This is far safer and it can be used right out of the large wide mouth container. When combined with one package of Splenda®, it is great for a large cup of coffee. I highly recommend Swanson's Fructose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VeggieNut Great taste and lower GI
I have found Swanson Premium Fructose to be a good way to reduce my carbs and still enjoy great taste. It is also much lower on the glycemic index (GI) than regular granulated sugar. Fructose is sweeter than sugar so a little goes a long way and I've not experienced any unpleasant aftertaste. The price is much better than what I've found in local retail stores and I've never been disappointed with the quality.

I just love Swanson's 100% Pure Fructose. It is 73% sweeter than sucrose so you can use less of it. Please do not confuse fructose with high fructose corn syrup. Regular sugar and high fructose corn syrup have caused me to gain as much as 10 lbs. overnight. But fructose doesn't move my scale at all. It has a fresh clean taste. I use it freely without spiking my blood sugar. I have ordered this product for my sister who loves it and I will be ordering this product again for myself soon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by joliejac Created a different texture
I bought this fructose and tried it in a Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch recipe that Swanson provided and did not have good results. The oatmeal never crunched up nor browned well. I left in it the oven longer to try to brown the top a bit and get it crunchy but the sides started to burn after a while even though the top remained very soft and chewy. Granted there were other ingredients in it that were different than those in regular recipe that may have contributed to the result (coconut oil instead of butter and re-hydrated strawberries instead of fresh) but I think it was probably the fructose. We ended up throwing it out after the first serving.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Covenant Great in my tea!
This is the first time I have ever used fructose and I really like the taste and how easily it disolves. I drink a lot of tea and it is wonderful in that. My only problem was getting the lid off the bottle! It took a strong man with a set of pliers to get it off. Hopefully, it was just this bottle. I like the wide mouth container. I will buy it again, for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by york like it better than cane sugar
This is a great substitute for cane sugar in dessert recipes. It tastes much better than cane sugar and I believe it has a sweeter taste so you can use less. Even using less it tastes better in recipes. It's not as healthy as using stevia or another healthy sweetener...but it tastes great.

I really like this product. There is no after taste and yet I get a much healthier sweetner without any synthetics. I drink tea a lot and most artificial sweetners change the taste of the tea.... but, too much sugar is not good for me either. This sweetner is a great alternative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Showalter Sweet w/ no aftertaste
Delicious sugar alternative. It adds just the right sweetness, enhances the flavor of tea and leaves no aftertaste. And I only use 3 tbsp/pitcher so each serving has only a few calories. Downside is that such a large jar tends to clump after it's been opened. Great value!
