This sounds funny but I read in a pet book to try this by putting just a few drops of the Neem and mix with olive oil and apply to dogs that are licking excessively. My vet was impressed as it worked. Bitter taste but no side effects.
It is very emollient and some time I will try to add it to my moisturizer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DevB Genuine Neem Oil
The contents of this bottle lives up to the neem-hype. I have witnessed Neem or Margosa growing to quite a large tree in a relatively short time. It is an amazingly resilient plant like the eucalyptus. It grows in arid conditions and the fruits and leaves are a natural insecticide and bactericide. Birds and squirrels use the leaves to line their nests and homes to keep insects away; while folks in the tropical countries use it on their scalps, teeth and body as preventive and as antiseptic. Typically, the neem oil has an overbearing smell - there's nothing much to like about the smell. It's not very strong and can be subdued by applying a stronger perfume or an air freshener after fifteen minutes of applying the oil. This being a concentrated oil, it’s safer to apply the detergent in small doses. A factsheet on neem from Oregon State University has a lot of useful content.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Simplifyx3 GREAT VALUE!!
I purchased this via buy one get one free.Yes, it does smell bad so I mix with a carrier and a good smelling essential oil which in effect almost completely masks neems' natural smell(the only downside).Great for the scalp and skin.Outside I mix with water and natural dish soap to spray on roses especially;yet, neem oil is great for all plants in the garden.I also purchase "Theraneem" from this site as well to use only outside for its ability to support healthy plants and soil.

Rated 2 out of 5 by wildwest Works great, but it smells like rotten garlic!
If you can stand the smell, this neem oil works great on dry skin cuticles. I used it only on my hands. You can see the difference in just a few applications. However, I had to stop using it because it smells like rotten garlic & the smell persists for many hours. I tried putting a bit in my Argan Oil Hand Lotion & now I can't use that because of the smell.
If you don't have a sense of smell or love garlic, this product will be great for dry skin.

I love how this Neem makes my face feel. I combine it with castor oil or other lotions. My skin feels firm and nourished. The downside is the smell. It is not the most pleasant but I'm able to overlook it. Also, my house must be too cold for it to be in liquid form which I would prefer. It's "pasty" and not as easy to apply as liquid drops.
I have yet to try it on my hair.
I wish I could find Neem tea here in the States. I've bought some in Africa and I love it in the morning.

I'm on the fence with this one...I got 2, at the same time, one for upstairs ya know, one bottle was a dark amber color, the other almost clear? What's up with that?
Um & yes the amber bottle has a stronger odor than the clear??? So is it a question of freshness...IDK, I've tried them, but after I realized this oddity I'm in a holding pattern...

Rated 5 out of 5 by coiledtighbeautyt01 After reading about neem oil and its potential benefits I decided this oil was worth the try. I purchased with the hope that it would help soothe my dry skin. I found that neem oil absorbs into my skin and was not irritating, however, the downside to this oil is its smell. The smell is intense therefore I only use this at night.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kare01 Smells Awful
I should have read the reviews prior to purchasing. I have to agree with the person who commented on the pungent odor of this product - the smell is awful! I can't really comment on the effectiveness of the product because I am not sure how to best use it, given its strong odor. The type on the label is so small that I cannot read the directions for use. I welcome any suggestions for how to use or what to combine it with to best make use of the product

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oreo Love it!!
This is by far the best oil I have used for healthy scalp and hair purposes! Most oils still leave my hair a bit oily even after shampooing, but with neem oil, I can leave it on for hours before my shampoo, add a lot of drops to my shampoo and it's nowhere near greasy! It is AMAZING. I also trust Swanson with all products so I feel good about buying it from them. It is highly recommended.
