Add a healthy mix of flavor and texture to your meals with the whole-grain nutrition of Swanson® Certified Organic Wild Rice. Despite its name, wild rice isn’t rice at all, but rather a close cousin, belonging to the same taxonomic tribe, Oryzeae. A staple of the Ojibwa and many other Native American cultures for centuries, wild rice is a gluten free whole grain with a distinctive nutty flavor that makes it an excellent side dish and a welcome addition to soups, salads and entrees. A good source of protein and fiber, our Organic Wild Rice is cultivated on the unspoiled Canadian prairie and guaranteed free of genetically modified organisms—nothing but pure, whole-grain goodness.
