I don't know how hemp can taste so different from brand to brand. Curious. Further, the package did not reseal (manufacturing defect?), so I had to fold it over and clip it.

I had truly hoped that I had found a good vegan protein for my breakfast smoothie but I am very disappointed so far. Not sure if it is the manufacturer's product or a fact of all hemp protein products.

I checked the bag I had ordered months earlier that was almost gone & it had the same expiration date! So buyer beware & be sure to check dates & let customer service know!

I find this to be true more and more with swanson and I am starting to order elsewhere . Swanson was always my first choice for good value. But if products expire before I can use them they are of no value. I would like to see the expiration or production date along with the price.

I used it many times in smoothies and with buckwheat as a oatmeal substitute but I still feel stuck with this product before it expire. It taste okay but it takes a lot to get a lot of protein that a whey or iso protein powder could give you and it's full of soluble dietary fiber so it needs water with it.

First, I didn't pay close enough attention to the label and didn't realize it must be refrigerated after opening (pea protein doesn't require refrigeration), so I ended up throwing some of it out. Second, I couldn't get past the ugly color it made things. I tried it in smoothies, oatmeal and added to pancake batter. Although the taste isn't bad at all, it has an ugly green hue to it. Seriously, nobody would eat the pancakes but me (and the dogs) because of the color. Also, it doesn't have as much protein per serving as pea protein and some other types.

I also like that it gives you those good omega 3's along with the protein. It's dark green, but that works in well with my green drink smoothies. There is a bit of chalkiness in the texture, but you get used to it. It's a good value when compared with similar products on other sites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective wide spectrum protein Hard to find in the USA for reasons everybody knows about. This organic hemp protein dissolves easily in a blender. I find it best with green, leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, chard. It contains all 21 animo acids and a good deal of essential fatty acids, so it's an "all-in-one" food. I use it primarily to recover from intense physical activity. In my experience, is more effective than isolated proteins found in the huge plastic jars.

I dont know how it might be adding to my dietary needs other than what i have read ....but certainly there is no taste problems.

I have mastered the art of making a fruit shake with this product in it that taste awesome. The product has an earthy taste too it which does not bother me ive had it in just water a few times. My wife made a shake and put a tbsp of peanut butter with it and you could not taste the hemp. bottom line if your looking for a healthy organic non dairy source of protein this is a good product i highly recommend it.
