When I first started ordering from Swanson about 8-10 years ago, I used to receive my orders within 3-4 days and never a problem. In the last 3 years or so, it's been taking more than twice as long to receive, so I thought that by doing the express shipping and adding delivery insurance, I'd receive the orders quicker and with less worry. Not the case with either option. I found out that all the express does is ensure that the order gets out to UPS within 24 hours. Well, it usually does anyway, and it doesn't speed anything up about the actual transit time. As for the insurance... well, my order last month was finally received by me after two weeks. It turned out that UPS delivered my order to the wrong house. They started an investigation after 10 days of my not getting my order. Finally, the person who it was delivered to found it behind a post and brought it to me. I got no apology from UPS, and no refund of shipping costs or the insurance cost from swanson. That was over a month ago. Now that I know it doesn't mean anything except the loss of an extra buck, I won't be ordering the insurance again. Oh, and by the way, when I go to pay for my orders, Google pops up and asks if I want their free delivery insurance because Swanson is a preferred vendor. I just click "yes" and leave it at that. I don't know if that'll be any good either, but it is free.

If you get shipments via UPS this is not necessary. However if you get shipments via USPS it can save some grief.

I have always been happy with the delivery of my items, however this time my boyfriend placed my order for me and added the delivery insurance to it without my knowledge...it was not worth the money.
