We have tried every diaper under the sun, and haven't had any issues with any EXCEPT these. I received them for free from a Healthy Baby Home Party kit. These leaked excessively and gave my son terrible diaper rash. We normally use a store brand diaper with no issues, so I was very disappointed when these didn't work. I love the idea of a "free and clear" diaper. The Touch of Cloth diapers were wonderful, but these were very disappointing. Not that it matters, but they are very boring/ugly. BUT they are super super soft. I'm sure they are great for other babies, but they are just not for us.

After getting sick of driving a half hour to get the organic diapers that I normally buy. I switched to Huggies pure and natural, which I could buy rate at my neighborhood store. Well recently they discontinued it and upon reading the package and I realize they're not 100% organic. I found seventh generation diapers at my local supermarket and try them. I am honestly surprised at how well they hold up to leaks and really big bowel movements. I am only on my second day using them and I love them I will definitely be recommending these to all my friends and families who have babies.

I have been using touch of cloth diapers for a while. Love them. Went to the store and all they had was free and clear. Tried them out. I am super unhappy with the absorbancy. LEAKS LEAKS LEAKS.

Rated 3 out of 5 by katkat Love them but not [erfect & fit is an issue
7th Gen diapers have been our go to since newborn when not in cloth. Around 1 yo we were in them 75% and now almost exclusively. Have NEVER has a diaper rash, they hold hold a crazy amount (though sometimes the absorbant pearls get loose when the diaper gets too full). I love that there's no logo and no smell. They sticky tabs aren't the greatest. If you don't get it on right the first time, it usually won't stick for a 2nd shot.
Sizing is off though. We were almost always up 1 size from described weight limit. During infant stage made send as our guy was a chunky monkey. Now we have a skinny active 25lb toddler In size 5's with a little tushie and the fit is really slim and narrow on him. I wish they were wider. About to try 6's and see if they fit better, or explore other options.

I couldn't have been happier with diapers. My daughter were them since first days up to 2 y.o- when she was fully potty trained. Never had rashes or leaks.

Our son that never has rash started having a really bad rash with these diapers. They also are not really great keeping baby's but dry. Sorry! We love all Seventh Generation products but Diapers weren't good for our son. I wish they worked for him!

I bought these nappies as I want to avoid the dioxins that conventional brands contain. They contain the urine but the number 2s leak every time. Doing more laundry and ruining outfits. I want a conscientious non-harmful product that works please.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Robin I switched to these diapers after going through half a dozen other brands when my son developed diaper and wipe allergies. They've worked well until recently with every poop leaking from the fit, but I can't switch to another brand.

I bought this last week. I have a newborn girl. These diapers are very thin, but surprisingly It does hold a lot. I did like the price too. However, It did leek once. I did not like the blah color. For newborns these are my second best choice now.

Love these diapers, less bulky but better absorbing then pampers & buggies. Also, best choice next to cloth diapers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rlw120 Competes with market leaders
I hesitated to purchase SG diapers because of some of the reviews. My slant toward environmentalism brought me back to SG so that we could, at least, give them a try. We've found the diapers compete with any other brand we used, and out-performs some. We dispose of the diapers biodegradable bags. My wife has the use of a good diaper, and I ease my conscience.

I have a 3 weeks old baby girl, at first I thought I really like the pampers swaddlers we tried during our hospital stay so we bought newborn and size 1 bundles. We recieved seventh generation newborn size diapers as a baby shower gift.I brought the pack so we can use it up & let me tell you, I fell IN LOVE with how it's lightweight so it doesn't look as bulky when the diaper is full or not, especially how nice it fits around my baby. I noticed my baby can move her legs a lot more freely than the pampers or Huggies we tried , it just looks so much comfortable on. My husband noticed without me having to point that out as well, as we all know most men don't notice little things haha so that says a lot!
Sadly our Targets don't carry this specific kind anymore, I believe it's their new packaging that is white and navy blueish. We had bought 2 of the newborn 30ct of their new ones and have yet to try them. Crossing my fingers they are just as good as the original.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rebekah Handles poop better than Pampers or Huggies
We had been using Pampers because we liked the blue line indicator and they're rated pretty high in the absorbancy department. However after these were given to us a gift they've been our fave. There's some elastic in the back of the diaper unlike Pampers and Huggies which helps to keep poop from going up baby's back. While we have still had an explosion here and there it has been WAY better than with Pampers!! Also, it is visibly obvious when the diaper is soiled because it plumps up -- so the indicator isn't necessary. LOVE these.

A pack of these were given to us as a baby present and they are by far the worst diapers we've used so far with our 3 month old. They leaked every single time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sad mama I really wanted to like these :(
We are a cloth diapering family, but we also use disposables occasionally. I was excited to try Seventh Generation diapers since we just buy generics from various stores, and they are full of chemicals (but they are cheap and we don't have any leakage or rash issues). I'm disappointed because I spent twice as much as I do for the generic brands, and these diapers fit poorly, they are ugly, not absorbent and cause redness on my son. I understand that unbleached=brown. I'm fine with that. My husband thought they looked like brown paper bags. They just look cheap and they don't fit well. They keep twisting and my half of my son's butt hangs out! He is a heavy wetter, but even in a cotton prefold diaper I can usually go 2-3 hours before he leaks. In these diapers his bottom is sagging after only two hours! In other disposables I easily get 5 hours before it looks saggy. Most importantly, my son has had redness and was so sore and raw that he was crying in pain when I changed him yesterday! Also, his belly had a big red spot where the tabs had rubbed his skin! Since we use cloth so much, he has never had a diaper rash. Other disposables do not cause him to be red either, so I don't understand the issue. Sadly, I will not be buying these diapers again. I want to go with healthier options, but these are not worth it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Karin Not absorbent
I want to like these diapers because I'm sure they're gentler on the planet, but they're just not absorbent enough for me to use unless I'm going to stay home and wait for the next wet diaper. My baby just won't put up with the wetness for very long because it's sitting right next to her skin. Occasionally it leaks out the back. On the other hand, the fit is pretty good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JessW Bring back the old Diapers!!!
We exclusively CDed our twins until about 10 months. During an extended, 2 week, power outage we purchased our first disposables. Of the 3 natural-ish brands we bought, Seventh Gen was our favorite by far. We loved them so much that we soon completely phased out cloth. I'm thrilled to say that my extremely sensitive skinned preemies (and now toddlers) have NEVER had a diaper rash!
Our local stores switched over to the new "touch of cloth" diapers last week. While I do like the new padding and they seem slightly more absorbent, the sizing is now much smaller. The 5s are listed as 27+ lbs. and my 23 & 24lb. toddlers don't fit! Both are big, but not chunkers and nowhere near Buddha babies. This is made even worse by the no-longer-grippy tabs that come off if you look at them wrong. My primary complaint is the new outer material. It's extremely scratchy. Both my guys have raw patches where the elastic hits and around their bellies. Still no official "rash" in the crotch area, but this has gotten pretty bad fast!
Honestly, I didn't read how this new formation was better and I don't care. We are too far away from PT so I've ordered what's left of the old ones, that I can find, and we'll have to switch. We still use the overnights, but this new diaper is not an improvement for us.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Zoelena FSC diapers are leaking
First of all, we love 7th generation products. We use all purpose sprays, bathroom cleaners, baby wipes and diapers. Thus far, the diapers have been fantastic. But, we just switched from size 2 to size 3 and the branding on the packaging now says FSC. The past 4 times we have changed her diaper, she has completely leaked through. It is not out the sides but it is as if there just isn't enough fluff pulp in there to absorb everything? I am really sad because I love 7th generation and just purchased a bulk box with 5 packages of diapers. But, sadly, I think we are going to have to switch to a different brand. 7th Generation: is there something I might be missing? Is there something different with the diapers now that they are branded as FSC? Are the size 3 less absorbent?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Geekydork Newborn isn't for newborns!
We bought the newborn size before our baby was born knowing that our cloth diapers wouldn't fit right away. Our son was 7 lb 4 oz at birth and grew to 8 pounds by 2 weeks old. These diapers, which claimed to fit up to 10 pounds, gave us blowouts at the legs, forcing us to run to the store and buy some Pampers. These finally fit him without issue when he was 10 pounds and we had little use for them as the cloth diapers now fit as well. Beware if you have a skinny-legged LO!

They are much more compact so packing them in the diaper bag takes up less room and they have not leaked for even the biggest "explosions." I do have a baby girl and they seem to be perfect if you don't mind the neutral color/design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by earthmama what's not to like?
For it's it's been a choice over the years between huggies and these. I just can't imagine using non-chlorine free diapers on my children's skin for the length of time they'll need diapers. We've used newborn ones to training pants and they've worked fine, neither infinitely better nor worse than any other we've tried. For us it's been about the components of the diaper. We also like the minimalist design (we were fine with the Lorax way back when. Four stars for not having a more distinct cut out for the belly button in newborn size and for not making them in premie size. Our "tall and skinny" 6lb baby drowned in the newborn size and I dreaded using conventional diapers on her but had no choice.
