was and am excited about this product and both, its nourishing aspects for the face, while at the same time releasing impurities. I am glad I was patient and methodically used this and am achieving results. Pores that were dark are lightening and clearing up, and my face is smoother. Not noticeable after a first use, but worth the discipline.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FlGma Top Quality Bentonite
I first tried some cheap bentonite clay and it was so full of gritty stuff (like sand) and black specks and other detritus that I wasn't comfortable swallowing it even though it made a great foot soak. I wanted something I could trust to ingest and not have any problems internally and Redmond clay is the answer. It's smoother, didn't make bubbles in the glass while mixing it like the cheapo brand did, and I felt safe swallowing it to detox my body. It doesn't take much and you need to follow it with LOTS of water to avoid plugging up your system. I am very pleased with the quality of this clay and will definitely buy and use again and again. That 'other' brand will be ONLY for external usage and when it's gone, I will not be buying it again, only the Redmond brand!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JanetL Beware of INTERNAL Consumption!
If you are taking any kind of medication (anti-depressants, blood pressure meds, cholesterol medication -- medications that need to build up in your system), DO NOT take this clay internally. You end up eliminating those meds which have built up in order to be effective. Also, beware of the HEALING CRISIS. It's awful. I started out with a small amount of clay and was building up and BOOM -- day 4 --my body rebelled. I felt absolutely horrible with body aches, acid reflux, bloating, digestive issues (you should have heard my stomach, sounds in there like I've never heard before), headache, and then constipation. These effects lasted for about three days. I had researched internal use of clay and felt confident that I knew what I was doing. I didn't. My advice - Research, research, research. If in doubt, don't put this in your body. I feel that Swanson is remiss in not publishing additional information about internal use of Redmond Clay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RenegadeXan Very good quality
I am a new user to clay and although it's too soon to tell if it does grant any help benefits, I can tell from the powder that it's of a very good quality.
The taste isn't bad and well acceptable, can' wait to see if it improves my health.

I have been using this product in my powdered tooth paste mixture. I noticed a difference when I ran out and made a batch without it. It also works great taking internally and as a paste externally.
