They should be coated. they stick in my throat.Big flush
Good price. Definitely NOT no flushing. Used twice so far and only slightly less flushing than non-extended release. Won't be buying this product again. Nearly all other Swanson products meet or exceed my expectations. Just not this one.The Flush...oh!
I had been using another brand of sustained release niacin but thought I'd try Swanson's brand because of the great price and reputation for purity. I have been taking Swanson Niacin for a month. I has a scare yesterday while at dinner out and got a burst of flushing that left me red, hot and itchy all over! Wow, the restaurant owner wanted me to got to the local medical clinic down the street, but I didn't because I knew that the reaction was from the niacin because I've had them before. Even if taken with a meal or a lot of water, I got the flushing to some degree about 10-15 minutes afterwards. Though my heart is good and cholesterol under control I feel I still need to take a niacin supplement, however it won't be this brand, though I continue to take Swanson supplements this is the first one that hasn't worked for me.
