Pronatura Calendula (Marigold) Ointment is a traditional European skin soother. Use it to nourish rough dry skin. It's safe enough to put on your baby's skin. Pronatura takes extract of the petals of the bright orange marigold flower and blends them into a pure herbal ointment. This natural European formula both moisturizes and helps protect your skin against environmental influences. It is particularly suited for dry, sensitive and irritated skin that needs soothing care.

Ingredients: Purified lard, palmitic ester of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), wheat germ oil, tocopherol (Vitamin E), extract of Calendula flowers (Marigold), citric acid.
Directions: Apply liberally as often as necessary. Keep refrigerated after opening.

This product need to be refrigerated after openning!! Ingredient ~~ purified lard?? Why can't it be made with coconut oil instead so it doesn't need to be 'refrigerated'?? Can't really take with you when traveling. I had planned to use it at bedtime. My masterbed room and masterbath are upstairs so I'm not near the frig at that time. The glass bottle is nice instead of plastic, but the shape is hard to get out with fingers especially after it's cold and hard. Not happy!!Pronatura Calendula versus Hyland Calendula
I've always used Hyland Calendula Ointment (also available from Swanson) before I gave Pronatura Calendula a try. Pronatura Calendula is harder and therefore not so easy to apply. What I absolutely dislike is the glass container instead a nonbreakable plastic container. My next order will be the Hyland brand again
