So happy to have found it!
To me white stevia tastes just like saccharin, yuk! I do not buy this for beverages although it might be good in a veggie drink, maybe to improve a detox drink.I bought this some time ago and use it in the place of sugar for things like spaghetti and chili where a little sweetener balances the acid of the tomato. Seems to add a 'fresh gardeny' nuance to such dishes.Works for the price.
I have been buying the white stevia powder - 4 oz/$16.99, and it is great but I go through it so fast making sweet drinks that I thought I'd try this cheaper one. I read the reviews and it is about what they say - not nearly as sweet, a bit earthy, and doesn't stir in well. I don't really find that I can sweeten my drink all the way and so I add a scoop of the white stevia on top of about 1/4 tsp of this stuff to sweeten a quart of tea. It works, though, and I am saving some money. Not impressed!
I have been using Stevia for quite some time now, primarily in my morning coffee. I have always bought the small packets until I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. The color ( light brown) doesn't bother me, however, the grittiness does. Even after stirring, it tends to float on the surface and not dissolve. I try to remember to put the stivia in the cup first, then the coffee, but that doesn't always work either. I get too strong a taste and the grittiness right away. I will not purchase this product again.
