Low-fiber, water-soluble hemp protein
When making hemp protein, first they use a cold press to separate the oil from the remaining solids. The oil, we all know of course, and the solids, they're Hemp PRO 50 and just about every other brand of hemp protein out there. It's very high in fiber and contains 50% protein by weight, hence the name. 50% hemp protein's fibers include broken down hulls, so the result is very 'sandy' (hemp hulls are extremely hard), but it's one of the easiest to digest forms of plant-sourced proteins (fiber aside, for some people). From there, I'm not sure what Manitoba Harvest does as they don't disclose their process, but they then separate the insoluble fiber out (which I believe they sell as PRO Fiber) and the rest is essentially this PRO 70, a more concentrated 70% protein, a very fine fiber-free powder that dissolves EXTREMELY EASILY in liquids. You can make something thick like 40% cream with it, or something as light as milk: the result will always be smooth. It also tastes less 'nutty/earthy' compared to the 50% proteins. As for me personally, PRO 70 also happens to be much easier to digest compared to the common 50% varieties, probably because the hull powder is gone.If typical hemp proteins leave you unimpressed, definitely give PRO 70 a try before moving on to other sources. It just might be what you were looking for!
