Not fresh
I like Camu Camu as a Vitamin C alternative. I mainly use this company's loose Camu Camu powder but the form they use in these pills is always brown and stale. This is a very perishable product in general. It might help if they thought more about keeping it stable. Vacuum packing, nitrogen packing, refrigeration, shorter shelve lives are all possibilities. There seem to be two forms of Camu Camu powder. One is generally brown and ineffective. The other is the color of pencil erasers, or is light orange or sometimes white. I think it starts out pink and or orange but ends up white? It is good when fresh but doesn't last as long as it is sold for. If you are looking for Camu Camu, I would go with this company's loose powder. Consider putting it in capsules yourself to save your teeth from the acidity.
