INGREDIENTS: Whole Grain Brown Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Whole Grain Millet Flour, Whole Grain Sorghum Flour, Tapioca Flour, Potato Flour, Cane Sugar, Xanthan Gum, Active Dry Yeast, Sea Salt (Magnesium Carbonate), Guar Gum.

DIRECTIONS

  • 1 pkg Gluten Free Pizza Crust
  • 1½ cups Warm Water
  • 2 Eggs*
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Yeast Packet (enclosed)

Preheat oven to 425°F. In a large bowl, combine water and yeast. Let stand a few minutes. Add eggs and oil to mixture and blend briefly. Add GF Pizza Crust Mix and blend about a minute on medium speed, until combined. Leaving dough in bowl, split in half, cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise for 20 minutes. Place dough on greased pizza pans. Using wet hands, spread out dough to cover the full pizza pan. Bake without toppings for 7 to 9 minutes.

Remove from oven, cover with favorite sauce and toppings. Bake for 15-18 minutes.

Makes two 12-inch or one 16-inch pizza crusts. Dough can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and store in plastic bag. When ready to bake, take dough out of refrigerator and allow to rest 30 minutes. Spread dough onto greased pizza pan and bake as directed.

*Eggless option: Combine 2 Tbsp Flaxseed Meal + 6 Tbsp Water; let stand one minute. Add to recipe as you would the eggs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product Really like the taste and texture of this crust. It will never be like a thin crispy crust pizza crust, but it has a really nice flavor and with some work, can be made relatively thin. Definitely do not feel the carb bloat after eating this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great if avoiding wheat When I started developing stomach and health issues from consuming wheat, I was bummed because I love pizzas, especially making my own from home. I tried quite a few gluten-free recipes online but most of them required too many different types of flours which made it inconvenient and I could never get a good consistency (we like a slightly thinner and crunchy crust). The Bob's Red Mill Gluten-free pizza crust mix has worked great so far. My only recommendation would be to add a Tbsp of psyllium husk to the mix along with 1 Tbsp of additional water. It gives some extra fiber which is good for the digestive system and make the crust have more of a dough-like consistency which is lacking in many gluten-free breads due to lack of gluten. Plus, the cooking times are too short for where we live in Hawaii at sea level. I have to add an additional 2-4 minutes pre-cooking the crust before adding toppings.
