Smoothies are a popular way to amp up fruit and veggie intake. I mean, it doesn’t get much easier than throwing your favorite produce in a blender with milk, water, or juice and blending it up. Plus, you can add all sorts of things to play with flavor and enhance the nutritional impact of your smoothie. So how does adding over 100 nutrients with one powder sound? Great! Then you need to know about spirulina!

What Is Spirulina?

Spirulina is a natural algae that is often sold as a nutrient-packed powder. This plant is a natural source of protein, iron, manganese, chromium, chlorophyll, omega-3s, antioxidants and a variety of vitamins, including Vitamins A, K1, K2 and B12. As a plant-based source of so many nutrients, it’s no surprise that spirulina is popular with vegetarians and vegans! But really, anyone can benefit from spirulina.

Nutrex Hawaii boasts spirulina that is preservative- and chemical-free. Their spirulina is farmed in a BioSecure Zone—an area that prohibits pesticide and GMO use. The result? The purest, most potent product they can offer!
