Cod Liver Oil, Plain
I don't like the aluminum seal because it is too hard to remove without leaving some there with potential to seep into the product. Would like a more easily removable seal. Thank you.

Valuable oil for body
I take one tablespoon of cod liver oil before breakfast each morning. I boil up 1/2 cup water, put into cup, add 1 tablespoon cacao powder and 1 tablespoon cod liver oil and stir. It's like having hot chocolate. You could add some stevia drops.

Taste is not too bad. The price is affordable for daily dose. My body just needs it.

Great Price for a Great Product!
I think this is the best quality cod liver oil for the price.
My only recommendation is refrigerate it!!! I had several bottles go bad within a couple of weeks before I figured out that I should be putting it in the fridge. Plus it highly improves it's flavor when it's cold :)

It has a fishy taste.....
This cod liver oil has a fishy taste. It really doesn't taste that bad. Then again I like to eat fish. I take about a teaspoon or 2 and chase it down with about 2 ounces of orange juice. That's it. Nothing to it. I will recommend this product to anyone. The low cost here on Swanson can't be beat.

Simple ingredients, great results!
I can't have glycerine or other added ingredients in my fish oil---and I haven't been able to find a fish oil pill that doesn't contain added stuff. This cod liver oil doesn't taste bad, and it's a wonderful natural form of vitamin d. It makes my brain feel better and also helps with mood. Using a spoon to take fish oil isn't my first choice, but being healthy sure is.

It is important to take it.
I like to take this cod liver oil. The taste doesn't bother me at all. I take it every morning and I know that it helps me to take care of my bones. I went to see the doctor for a general checkup and she said, "You are amazingly healthy !" . I also take other Swanson products, so I wasn't really surprised. I am 51 years old.

The best I have tasted so far
I bought it for the whole family and even though I could not care less about Cod liver oil's taste and smell, I was very anxious to find one that my kids wouldn't dislike especially my oldest one who can detect the slightest "fishy" flavor.
I usu it in smoothies, in fish dishes, salads (50/50 with olive oil), even in muffins and nobody notices anything.

Can't be beat
When you factor in all the variables, this product cannot be beat.
Just good old pure, plain CLO.

take it every day
I saw on TV a famous doctor praising the many benefits of cod liver oil. I have been taking it, with great results, for several months now.
I was running out of it and went to my local healthfood store and noticed that their cheapest brand cost twice as much as the Swanson price!
Needless to say, from now on I am going to make sure I order it from Swanson before I run out of it. Oh! And the quality is excellent.

A bit strong taste-wise (it is fish oil after all) but effective. Have ordered it more than once and when on sale, a great value.

Great Cod Liver Oil
Quite a good bargain compared to other cod liver oils. Seems to be fresh and work great!

I bought this because of the dha and epa content. I read on the bottle that it helps mood health. I wondered about that for a while. Then one day I noticed, so did my wife, that I was getting a little irritable. Then I realized I had not taken any cod liver oil that day. I went and took a tablespoon full.."as usual" and within 30 minutes or so I was calmer and no longer edgy. She saw the bottle I had was on empty and said..."that is not the last of it is it?" I said " no, I have another full bottle". She was like.."whew, that's good!" She does not want me to run out as it does surprisingly assist in keeping you even keel. Thanks Swanson and TwinLab.

I take a tablespoon every day, I started with the emulsified cod liver oil because of taste, but moved to the straight oil as I became accustomed to the taste. It is also more potent than the emulsified version.
I buy it regularly, as it is the most reasonable priced.

I love this CLO! The price is excellent. The taste is very very light. It's the best value on CLO I've ever found.

Excellent value for the price.
I give this product to my 2 golden retreivers for their skin, fur and joints. It is the best Cod Liver Oil that I can get for this price. I highly recommend this product to others.

Best fish oil for the money
If you want plain Cod Liver Oil, you will be hard pressed to find a name brand anywhere any less expensive. It is PCB/heavy metal free which is important, and tastes and smells just fine without flavors.

Oil of a different flavor
I started out using fish oil that was flavored with orange and lemon and wound up burping citrus for hours afterward. Inadvertantly ordered some emulsified peppermint flavored oil and almost gagged trying to get it down. After researching, I realized that most producers steam all the fish odor and taste completely out of the finished product. Now a take a morning teaspoon of unflavored oil with an orange juice chaser.

Cod Liver Oil, real food
There's no doubt about it, Norwegian cod liver oil is a real food, rich in vitamins A and D and omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA). I like the taste of the plain flavor but perhaps this is an acquired taste. I take only a teaspoon a day though. Because of the high vitamin A content it's not wise to take any more than this.
I see on the label that this product is PCB and heavy metal free. That's comforting to know because I'm worried about eating most fish products. Methyl mercury scares me.
