The ingredients in Tom's of Maine Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth help reduce the incidence of discomfort while efficiently cleaning your teeth. The active ingredient, potassium nitrate, is clinically proven effective in soothing sensitive teeth and is derived from naturally occurring deposits of nitrate ore rather than the synthetic nitrates used by other brands. This fluoride-free, low abrasion formula protects tooth enamel while cleaning teeth. Natural peppermint and wintergreen oils combine to make this pleasant, non-bitter wintermint flavor.

Builds increasing protection against the painful sensitivity of teeth to cold, heat, acids, sweets, or contact

Warnings

When using this product, do not use longer than 4 weeks unless recommended by a dentist or physician. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children.

Stop use and ask a dentist if the problem persists or worsens. Sensitive teeth may indicate a serious problem that may need prompt care by a dentist.

Keep out of reach of children. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or dial (412) 390-3381 right away (Poison Control Center).

Directions

  • Adults and children 12 years of age and older: Apply at least a 1-inch strip of this product onto a soft bristle toothbrush. Brush teeth thoroughly for 1-minute, twice-a-day (morning and evening), or as recommended by a dentist or doctor. Make sure to brush all sensitive areas of the teeth.
  • Children under 12 years of age: Consult a dentist or doctor.

Inactive Ingredients

Sorbitol, water, hydrated silicas, xylitol, glycerin, organic Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, nataural flavors, sodium lauryl sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, xanthan gum, titanium dioxide.

tooth paste I thought I would try this tooth paste. My teeth do not feel clean after two hours of using this paste. The tooth paste tastes good, and feels good on my teeth and gum. I've used Sensodyne toothpaste for the last year and have still had problems with cold, etc. I started using Tom's of Maine Paste for Sensitive Teeth a couple of weeks ago and finally! Something that works! I no longer have pain when I brush in the morning. I love it! Thank-you! December 20, 2009

It Works! I have used Sensodine, Crest and Colgate sensitive formulas. I have had some success. But when I tried Tom's...WOW. It Works! I know that they have the same main ingredient, but it simply works better. January 1, 2008
