There have been so many advances in nutritional science since Jack's first "Instant Breakfast" hit the scene that his family decided now was the time to create a new, up-to-date formulation for today's world. First and foremost, the new formula contains no added refined sugars. These shakes are only sweetened with D-ribose, a touch of honey and Reb-A from stevia. The new formula also features four kinds of protein: whey protein isolate, pea protein isolate, white navy bean and caseinate from milk. There are 18 vitamins and minerals, omega-3s from flax, four grams of fiber and 21 total antioxidants for immune system support.

Great Product I replaced my lunch at work (5days a week) with Vita Lanne Instant Meal Shake.I use the vanilla and chocolate flavor. Not for me I ordered this product based on the fact that it had low carbs and high protein. I was looking for a drink for lunch time. I was not pleased with the taste of the product, was a little chalky for my taste. March 18, 2013

Yuck! I am so disappointed in the taste and texture of this product. I have used several meal replacement shakes in the past so I know they are not the yummiest thing ever but this shake is awful. Tastes bad, really! I noticed other reviews claiming that this shake tastes bad. I have to be honest, I don't see it. I mix this with skim milk and it tastes like regular chocolate milk to me. I also mix in bananas and strawberries to mix it up a little every once in a while. This makes a great alternative to a night time snack. September 30, 2012

Outstanding product [standing applause]. Outstanding product [standing applause]. Swanson and the LaLanne's put a lot attention and TLC into this product. I am currently drinking the chocolate flavor with unsweetened almond milk. The taste is so wonderful --- that I am also using the drink to replace my late night munches. Usually, I don't like these type of drinks. I've always considered them one bump up from flavored cardboard. But... the taste here is yummy --- I even called Swanson to see if I could order a case (always trying to save money). I have to admit you're getting one heck of a value already. Very disappointed I was very disappointed in this shake. It tastes awful. I'm going back to making my own shakes, they are very tasty and made from fresh ingredients. I thought this would be easier to have at lunch at work so I wouldn't have to carry anything, but I just wasted $20. UGH. June 6, 2012
