HIGH PROTEIN CONTENT!
This product has 30 grams of protein per serving, which is the amount recommended for starting off the day right and getting a boost for weight loss.
I feel my brain works better in the morning when I start my day with this. I also use this as a meal replacement when time is short or I'm just too tired to cook a meal. I mix the vanilla with orange juice--it tastes like the old "Creamsicle" of my youth. (If you're not familiar with that, it is like vanilla ice cream mixed with orange sherbet.) It does have a slightly gritty texture which is diluted somewhat by adding more OJ or adding a banana or other fruit to make a smoothie. The grittiness is why I gave the quality 4 leaves instead of 5. I've heard of mothers (of growing boys) put this into (banana) bread just to up the protein to help them with their weight training. I always try to keep some in the pantry!

Protein Satisfaction
I have tried several brands, but most have a taste I do not care for. Swanson's vanilla has great flavor, adequate protein for a meal replacement and endless possibilities for adding other flavors. Add a little nutmeg and you have an eggnog flavor - if you like that sort of thing.

A little gritty
I tried this as a low-cost alternative to the Vita-Lanne shake. It definitely does job of serving as a quick snack during the day. But the taste was rather bland and it didn't dissolve all the way, leaving bits of grit in the mixture. The grit is present no matter how much you shake it, but it goes away (dissolves completely) if allowed to sit for a few hours. Putting it thorough a blender gets rid of the grit completely. I punched up the flavor by adding a little stevia and mixing it with OJ rather than milk.

So Easy!!!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone trying to lose weight. The price cannot be beat that's for sure. Buy a personal blender and get started! I love the vanilla shakes with frozen strawberries or pineapple or even the chocolate shakes with bananas! I also buy the Guarana and take those throughout the day for energy and have lost 10 pounds in time for my wedding. Stick to the shakes for 2 meals a day and eat as much protein for snacks and dinner and you will see results!

Not quite what I expected but tasty
I believe my only issue has been the way I am using this product. I bought it to use in my morning smoothies for protein nutrition to keep me from snacking until lunch...the product tastes great though I put it in the blender to blendmy smoothie. I don't like the extra puffy, thick texture. It's a gross sensation and turns my stomach. I have tried it only by putting it in the blender so I'm going to have to try another way...otherwise, price is good, taste is good.

Great everyday protein power!
I love this product - both in chocolate and vanilla! This is a delicious way to get 30 grams of protein. I throw mine into my emulsifier with frozen berries and fruits and or veggies for a perfect, healthy meal or snack. When I'm feeling lazy, I just toss it into my shake glass with low fat milk and a few ice cubes to mix and chill - and it's delicous just that way! Besides the fantastic flavor, IT'S A GREAT PRICE. Thanks, Swansonvitamins - I'm a loyal customer for life because you make it affordable to stay healthy!

Soy Advantage
While the product is, I'm sure, a good source of soy and the texture isn't bad for a soy drink, I really did not like the taste. I even added some sweetener and then a bit of instant coffee to try to make it more palatable and it didn't work.

Many Ways to Bump Nutrition
I use the vanilla soy powder in omelets, with sardines, in a desert consisting of walnuts, almonds, and several zero-calorie sweeteners.
I use the chocolate soy powder in meat loaf, with chicken livers, with super strong coffee, in a desrt with walnuts, almonds, semi-sweetened chocolate (or unsweetened), several zero-calorie sweeteners, canola oil, and liquuid lecithin.

very satisfied
Every morning I fix my husband and myself a yogurt/fruit smoothy, using this product. Due to illness and getitng older our appetites are not what they used to be. A protine drink insures us of a balanced breakfast. I wouldn't want to be without it. The price is reasonable, also. Thank you.

Great Product
I like this product; the taste is great with fruit juice smoothies. I use it each morning along with green food powder and essential oils.

OK, not great
Taste is bland so it's good for mixing with juice.
Very lumpy and hard to mix even when shaken well.

Disgusting!!
This smells terrible, and tastes far worse. I have tried many different protein powders. I usually get plain or vanilla. I blend them with a banana, berries, yogurt, and soy milk. So it's usually hard to tell how the powder itself tastes, until this one! This is so awful it over-powers all of the other stuff I put in the blender. Really, really disgusting!

Swanson Ultra Soy Beats the Competition
If you prefer soy protein in your diet, I would recommend trying Swanson's Ultra Soy -- and the vanilla is really good-tasting! I used to get my soy protein from a competitor, but they discontinued their original brand and instead, sent me their new formulation on my last order. I don't know if you're old enough to remember wheat paste? that stuff we used to mix at the kitchen table when we were doing paper mache projects for elementary school art classes? or paper kites -- we used to make paper kites out of two sticks, layers of newspaper, and wheat paste. The stuff tasted terrible! And that's what the competitor's new formulation tastes like. I just spent $10 postage to send the stuff back to them, so I can get a refund. And I just reordered Swanson's Ultra Soy...I think it's a keeper!
