Rated 5 out of 5 by Lassie How I Use It
I first tried mixing the calcium powder with water, as suggested on the label. It did not mix well, and, actually, some particles would fly up into the air where they could be breathed in. Then I tried dumping a scoop into my mouth followed with water, but sometimes I choked as it went up into my nasal passages. Now I mix it easily with my breakfast oatmeal, where I enjoy the flavor. No doubt it could be easily mixed with other solid foods as well.

this coral calcium is orange flavored-. that really limits what you can mix it into. I would have preferred something NOT flavored, so i could mix it into various smoothies like banana chocolate with milk.
It also floats on top of orange juice, it will NOT mix in. so i ended up drinking lots of powder on the top of it, made me cough.
Also i find it odd that it only has the two minerals listed, calcium and magnesium. I thought coral calcium had more trace minerals.
The product seems ok otherwise.
Customer service told me that this product came from "the caribbean" so i do hope that is accurate.

I was glad to have an option of coral calcium that did not include magnesium stearate, though loose powder is challenging to use. No matter what I've mixed it with, that chalky taste remains. Yes, I know I can make a science project of this and encapsulate the powder myself, but really... can't the professional encapsulators do the same without adding the magnesium stearate or it's counterpart, titanium dioxide?

I love this product and take it daily I also take a vitamin D supplement with it to increase absorption. At first I tried mixing this in water or juice but it didn't work well so I just put some on my tongue and drink some warm herbal tea to wash it down. It doesn't taste bad. I've also mixed in with hot cocoa but it has a slight orange flavor that makes it taste odd so I don't do that anymore. I felt energized from taking this product so I know it has helped me. Swanson has some really good products and prices.

I have noticed reviews about this powder not mixing well when stirred. I put mine in a small jar with a lid and add 4 to 6 ounces of water and shake it. Works great.

Coral Calcium is one of my two favorite Calcium nutritional supplements. Whatever the supplement (of any type --- mineral, amino acid, vitamin, herb), I always prefer a powder or liquid over more tablets or capsules that I would have to swallow. This Coral Calcium container comes with a nice scoop. I generally put 1 heaping scoop of this Coral Calcium powder into my morning 'healthy cocktail.' It mixes in nicely, and I don't even know it's there. At bedtime, sometimes (on the days when Coral Calcium is on my night-time menu) I simply dump a scoop of this Coral Calcium powder into my mouth and then wash it down with a drink of water. I have no trouble doing this. The taste is neutral. After a few 'chewing motions,' it washes right down with the water. The results I seek from taking Calcium, and in this case of Coral Calcium's natural combination of Calcium with Magnesium, are exactly what I want. Works for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Alex45 Quality calcium at a good price
Cleary bioavailable calcium is super important and getting what you need without magnesium stearate what what sold me on the powder. Added magnesium with stuff like C & D to cut down on any phytic acid stealing your calcium back is the other bonus. It's got a little bit of flavor and it's not real easy to mix with just plain water but it's a good buy overall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jade94553 doesn't mix well
If I am not careful, I end up breathing it in because it hangs in the air after I put a scoop in a glass of water. Or it sits on top of the water. Taste is fine. If I stir very aggressively I can usually mix in most of it. I won't be buying again.

This powder has a great citrus flavor. My only critique is that is does not stir well into water. Overall a great product.

I was careless and did not realize it was a powder that you have to eat. I need to get capsules for it and stuff them myself.

I read where people have trouble mixing with water but it takes a little time but it does mix if you keep mixing for few minutes.
I didn't think it would mix at first but I just kept mixing and it worked out ok.
The taste is kind of a mint taste so I think taste is Great.
Another great thing is all the vitamins that it has with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by sideslipping a good way to get your calcium
Coral Calcium complex is a good way to take calcium but hard to get past the bad taste. You mix it with water and some of the powder settles in the bottom of the glass and so your have to add more water and endure the bad taste again. It tastes like calcium antacids - diluted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Advoc8 Love it!
I like the fact that the ratio of the 70+ elements , minerals, etc are in approx the same ratio as our bones. I tried mixing and stirring this into many flavored drinks (too much hassel for me) but find that the best way for me is to simply quickly stir a half teaspoon into a 1/4 cup of water and down it. I sometimes stir several other things like ground flax & chia sead and such in with the same water - stir and down it. Too easy to take.
I won't use any other calcium than coral calcium powder now. I take Swanson Coral Calcium capsules with me on trips and for a mid afternoon dose at work though (3X per day).

Love the quality but it simply does not disolve at all in water! I had to use soda (carbination) to get the powder to even disolve a little bit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ksandy Purchased it for the great price. But being a powder form, it doesn't dissolve thoroughly. Taste is not bad, however.
