What Makes Chelated Mineral Glycinates So Superior? First we need to understand the chelation process. Chelation is the result of minerals becoming chemically bound to amino acids in a very specific manner. Chelation occurs naturally during the digestive process to facilitate transport of minerals across the intestinal wall so that they may be utilized throughout the body. Amino acids are not the only "chelators" available, but they are ideal for minerals. Great Product I heard of Chelated Iron for my mom as the regular iron supplements upset her stomach. This product provides the recommended amount of iron and absolutely no stomach upset and as a bonus the pill size is small and not as my mom would say "horse pills" March 7, 2013
Iron supplement with good absorption I was pleased to find an iron supplement that is optimized for absorption and at a good price as well. I l like that the capsules are small and so easy to take. Just information I love Swansons. I have found their products to be outstanding. I do not know how effective this iron supplement is for my body. My tongue turned black from taking this capsule internally. I checked to make sure it was indeed the iron supplement so stopped taking it and the black went away, took it again and the black tongue came back. I can therefore assume the iron is entering into my blood stream but I am not sure if the iron is able to be used if it is turing my tongue black. I thought this might be useful if anyone else has the same thing they know that it is the iron supplement. January 19, 2012

Chelated Iron If you take Iron, like I do, then PLEASE try Swansons Chelated Iron. Aside from food sorces (heme iron), this is the BEST form of Iron out there. Better absorbed and NO side effects like you get with the ferrous sulfate. If you have had problems with the other forms of iron, then please try this. I have been taking it for two years now and have not had ANY problems with this form of iron. And yet again, the BEST price out there. March 29, 2011

Product is as stated Iron in an easy to digest, small capsule form. Potency appears to be consistent from bottle to bottle.
