My former papaya supplement required 3 tablets for only 45 mg papain; whereas, these require only 2 for 100 mg. I like to digest my food and trust the Papaya more than Western drugs.

Papaya really helps digestion and settles out the tummy after eating what doesn't agree with me or just assisting digestion after a big meal

Rated 5 out of 5 by nicolo very effective product
i have used this product for years. papain works in an acid or alkaline medium and digests proteins as well as bromelain (pineapple) does. i like this non-sweetened product, if you don't like the taste you can just swallow them whole or crush and add to food or smoothies. bottom line is, if you have been taking these for a while and then stop you will definitely notice the difference in your ability to digest foods in general and proteins in particular.

I recently bought this botthe of 300 Papaya tablets for my son and daughter-in-law. They ran out of their previous bottle around Thanksgiving. Not a good time to be out of an effective digestive enzyme product that has proven itself to work for you in the past. They chew several after a meal, and they find that it helps their digestion. They can easily take some of these Papaya tablets with them when they are at work and eating out for lunch every day, and when they go out to dinner. My son has used chewable Papaya tablets as a natural digestive aid his entire life. It works.

Tasteless yes, but who cares, they work! Since taking these my protein digestion has improved greatly. I no longer need iron, B-12, or potassium. I absorb more of my nutrients overall. I won't be without them.

Decent but would like more milligrams of papain and less tablet binder (calcium carbonate).

I have been using this product all summer and I feel that my body is assimilating nutrients better. I saw some reviews about flavor, but I didn't think the flavor was necessarily bad at all. Anyway, yes, i do recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by littlenell I don't buy them for the taste
I have bought papaya tablets before and they did taste better than these. However, they didn't work as well. I swallow them as I would pills when I need to. I much prefer these to the better tasting, but non-working variety.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ThisGuyHere Yeah, these taste bad
I agree with the previous reviewer. I've never had a papaya tablet that was so unappetizing before. I guess they work alright, but I'm not really that sure since I'm much less motivated to take them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by cvnativeinpa Papaya?? Or Chalk??
I've been buying papaya for years and recently decided to try this one. When I got it home and looked at the tablets, they appeared to be very chalky. This was confirmed when I ate two. If you don't mind the flavor of Unflavored Tums, then these tablets are okay. I, on the other hand, prefer my papaya tablets to taste like papaya.
