Works Well
Okra pepsin was recommended to my son by his doctor, but the brand was very expensive. When I found this similar version at Swanson we tried it, and it worked well (with a combination of other Swanson supplements). I was able to reduce the cost of all recommended supplements by almost 75% with extremely positive results. We're very pleased with the quality, price and convenience of Swanson products.

Ineffective. Unable to discern any effect on me from using this product. I had to switch to the other company's product.

My only negative review
I have been ordering from Swansons for a long time. I have never posted a negative review. Unfortunately this will have to be the first. The Okra Pepsin was completely ineffective. Not sure if it is the process or the actual ingredients, maybe need more active or effective parts of okra. I have better and immediate results by just eating fresh okra or fiber itself. I took this product daily am and pm for 2 weeks with no results. Sorry.

Wish it were better
I purchased the Swanson product after using a different brand that worked fairly well but was much more expensive. In my experience, the Swanson version did not work as well; I increased my dosage but still did not get the results I had gotten with the other product. Also, I experienced more effects from the dairy in the Swanson version than I had with the other brand. Ultimately, for me, it wasn't worth it. I wonder if it's possible to have a dairy-free version?
