Chia Seeds 100% Pure White 4.8 5 75 84
Got used to these right away This is my first time trying chia seeds and even though many mention its attributes regarding texture, inordinate to other seeds, etc... I find these with a unique physical chewiness of their own. I almost ate a third of the large container in two days of couch surfing. There is only a comparison I can make as to almost an oatmeal or similar type of grain flavor but on the bland side. Better than eating plain white breads for snacks for sure. I usually will munch on costly fresh baked bread because of the flavor and simplicity of it. These chia seeds are fine and will go well with other things I am certain and I will try to use it in baking or other meal preparations. May 12, 2013
Chia Seeds Works I followed internet instruction to use these with a coffee enema. AND it worked. It allowed me to empty out fast. Those seeds are very slippery when wet. AND fast-acting too. They're also very good as a fiber content. 100% satisfied ! Thank you. May 6, 2013
chia seeds Excellent product with great quality. Helps suppress appetite and get me through the morning. May 3, 2013
Yummy Chia Seeds I order these all the time and try always to keep a pound or two on hand. They provide so much nutrition and fiber in one tablespoon and are so satisfying sprinkled over my morning oatmeal. They help keep me full until lunchtime. I love them! I have tried other brands when Swanson's brand was not available but they did not compare in appearance or taste. April 11, 2013
Feel GREAT! Chia seeds have improved the way my digestive system feels. I have more energy as well. To receive the best of all they offer, grind in a coffee bean grinder. April 3, 2013
Excellent Price Having heard so many health benefits to Chia Seeds I turned to my faithful Swanson's and they came though with a great price on this product. I mix this into smoothies and with greek yogurt. March 27, 2013
Great Product I love Swanson's! Fast and easy ordering and shipping!! They have everything I need and very affordable!!And the chia seeds are perfect! March 14, 2013
like it never heard of chia seeds until a few weeks ago from an herbal pharmaist. One of the super foods. I put it on my oatmeal every morning and it does fill me up. I don't mind the taste either March 14, 2013
great product Do not put them in oatmeal, they have a thickening quality, I put them with jelly on toast, salads, and drank them. (grape juice) They fill me up all day, lost 5 pounds in a week March 9, 2013
Great product! I also use the Bob's Red Mill black chia. While I can see no difference in taste/texture/effectiveness between these and the black seeds, I do use these white ones in recipes where the seed color may be less appetizing. For example, I hydrate these white ones as a mayo substitute. They can also be ground to thicken soups/stews. March 5, 2013
CHIA CHIA CHIA About 50 years ago I first heard about Chia Seeds. I learned that many Native Americans carried a pouch of Chia Seeds to munch on when they were "out and about." The Chia Seeds provided nourishment / energy, satisfied hunger, and gave them strength to keep going when there was no other food available. And the Chia Seeds took up very little room, and didn't spoil. Since I have been eating Chia Seeds by the heaping tsp, I can certainly see how this is true. There is no flavor to speak of. I simply chew up the Chia Seeds right off of the teaspoon. I think they are great. I have really grown to like them a lot. I highly recommend Swanson's Premium White Chia Seeds as part of an extremely healthy, nourishing, fiber-rich snack regimen instead of all the unhealthful, sugary, high calorie, dead imitation foods out there that people snack on. My snack food regimen, all from Swanson, consists of Chia Seeds, Hemp Seeds, and Lewis Labs Yeast Flakes or Buds. I eat them separately by the teaspoonful. I find it wonderfully amazing how sustaining this snack regimen is, especially from such a small volume of food. Bonus: Very Nutrient Dense, High Fiber, and Low Calorie, and of course sugar-free. Excellent price for a good product. I have been trying to find healthier foods. I put a tablespoon a day in my oatmeal which is the recommended daily amount. Be careful taking too much at once.. will cause constipation..lol. February 6, 2013
Chia Seeds Great product. I find Chia seeds help to keep me full most of the day.The seeds contain lots of healthy vitamins which is an added bonus. I just add it to my orange juice in the morning which is quick and easy. February 2, 2013
nutrition bomb I've been using chia for over 5 years and have benefitted tremendously from its nutritional and fiber content. I have to laugh--there is a company selling the stuff as "Ben Via Gold" and ripping customers off at over $20 a pound. I usually grind up the seeds like coffee and use a scoop with Dr. Langer's Bio Available whey protein and a scoop of hemp seed powder. To this combo I add coconut milk, a raw egg, a banana or half an avocado, and either stevia or maple syrup (if feeling adventurous). I call this my Nutrition Concoction Bob and it has kept this nearly 73 year old guy energetic and absolutely pain-free. I strongly recommend chia as well as the other "bomb" ingredients for a filling and nutritious morning meal. January 22, 2013
Satisfied customer Shipping was timely, packaging is good. This is my first experience with chia seeds so they are just what I expected and the price is very good compared to other deals I searched. January 10, 2013
yuk Just horrible -horrible taste, texture. Can't even tell you if it's effective bc I couldn't take it for more than a couple weeks. Waste of money. December 11, 2012
not a good weight loss product I had seen on Dr. OZ how Chia seeds are helpful to keep you full to help with weight loss. now as far as taste it don't have a taste, but it is hard trying to get all the seeds down in water. I didn't feel it help me stay full. so for weight loss I didn't feel it was helpful, but Chia seeds are still healthy and I am just using in in food. November 29, 2012
Chia Seeds I bought these after the bag I purchased the first time leaked. I wanted the convenience of the container. The seeds are fine though the white might be a little more bitter than the black but they are still good and help me with digestion. November 20, 2012
Satisfying Energy Add flavor to Chia by adding your favorite fruit, vanilla, etc. I love the energy I get from eating this for breakfast or a snack! September 25, 2012
Still not sure I love swanson products and swear by them but I was a little surprised when I received the white chia seeds and got a couple bitter seeds in the bunch. I've tried two other brands--Nutiva and another one. They were the black seeds though. But I didn't expect to get a bitter taste. It wasn't all the seeds. It just seems like I bit into one or two bad ones. The best thing about chia is that it has NO taste, so to run into a bitter tasting one really caught me off guard. It was just my first tablespoon full so I'm hoping it was just a fluke but if I run into anymore, I won't be buying this brand again. And it's a shame because the price is so good. August 18, 2012
best eva i've been taking chia seeds for the past few years and i simply love them..i have it for breakfast with my oatmeal and soymilk faithfully every morning.i love it's nutty favor and.it keeps me going till lunch without any unnecessary snacking.....another plus is that my movement in the morning is like clockwork and very cleansing..i rec. your chia seeds to the world..the super food !! thank you; Lynn Kihara--Hilo, HI Aloha!!!! August 3, 2012
Helps keep me full. I add it to my oatmeal in the morning. July 13, 2012
Swanson is Better I recently had to buy a different brand of Chia seeds because Swanson was out. They had a slightly rancid stale smell but tasted OK. The Swanson seeds had a pleasant aroma and seemed much fresher. Don't waste your money on other brands. May 23, 2012
using for 2 years Love this stuff! Great calcium content, and fiber also. Eat everyday, sometimes in my oatmeal and sometimes with juice or milk. May 20, 2012
Can't Believe How Much I Love Them! I am happy I tried chia seeds, I was on the fence about buying them. They are great to take after a workout. I put them in about 6 ounces of grape juice and let sit for 10-15 minutes. They are great in smoothies, especially if you have the bullet style blender. I have also sprinkled them in my yogurt. They really don't have much of a taste and take on the flavor of whatever you put them in. The only caution would be they need to soak in a liquid for about ten minutes to soften and release their nutrition or else they just pass right through you. May 1, 2012
