Mislabeled Product I must agree with all the other reviewers concerning the lack of quality of this product. It has the same label as the previous pure form; but is a blend that may have very little aspartate form in it. It highly disturbs me that Swanson made the change, yet keeps the label the same in the face of all of the negative reviews. I have started to read all the Swanson labels more carefully and find myself shopping around more due to this one incident. November 20, 2012
MisLabeled It is wrong to call this a Aspartate Complex. It should be called a aspertate, oxide, carbonate complex. I am glad I found the error before reordering (former container indicated aspertate only) October 14, 2012
Preferred old version Liked the old product with aspartate salts only better. Aspartate is one of the best forms of magnesium and calcium. Carbonate+oxide are the worst. Don't understand why this product was changed. March 30, 2012
Old product was better Swanson used to offer this as calcium aspartate and magnesium aspartate only. That was my favourite supplement but they de-listed that and re-listed this one which contains magnesium oxide and calcium carbonate with the aspartate forms. I'm not hapy with this change. Magnesium oxide is the worst form of magnesium and calcium carbonate is the worst form of calcium. The supplement was perfect as it was before. It shouldn't have been changed. It isn't even stated on the label how much magnesium is from oxide and how much from aspartate, and how much calcium from aspartate and carbonate... March 30, 2012
Not an improvement Must agree with the other review. This formula does not seem to work as well as the previous and I don't see why the addition of calcium carbonate was needed. Disappointed. Apart from being unnecessary, calcium carbonate is just not a very useful form of the mineral. March 20, 2012
The old one was better The old formula with just aspartate was better. Why add carbonate and Oxide in it when the bioavailability is alot less? Bad move Swanson. March 10, 2012
