Active One without Iron
My favorite multiple
When selecting multiple I always look for the quantity of selenium and chromium in the supplement (given that I only want to take one/day). This multiple is extremely similar to the Twin Lab Multiple....which is what I used to take....only the price is even better!

Active One without iron
This is a great alternative to the name brand supplement with the same ingredients. I feel it protects us (my husband and me) without going overboard.

This is a very comprehensive vitamin at a very reasonable price. I have been taking these for years.

Good Multi-Vitamin w/o Iron
I've learned middle-aged men don't need as much Iron as women. The Swamnson Premium Active One without Iron provides me with all the necessary supplements for a healthy immune system. I love this vitamin!

This multi has it all.
I have been doing a lot of reading about natural remedies. This multi has all the needed vitamins and minerals in recommended amounts to keep me healthy. I have purchased this multi for my adult kids too.

Causes stomach upset
Tried with and without food and either way gives me a stomach ache. So I don't even get the placebo benefit! The old formulation didn't do this, but it had the iron which men are not supposed to supplement.

Active One was a decent basic level multi-vitamin …. until Swanson decided to switch the Vitamin E from a natural form to a synthetic form. By the way, they also recently did the same to the Vitamin E in their Vitamin D3 products and their other Swanson Brand multi-vitamin products. You have to very carefully read the label. Natural vitamin E is d-alpha tocopheryl acetate …. and synthetic Vitamin E is dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate. It’s hard to tell the difference isn’t it? Well, if you look very carefully, the synthetic form has a lower case L right after the lower case D as in: dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate. Some of you may say “well what’s the big deal” but this does in fact matter because all of the studies that down play the importance of vitamins and claim that vitamins can be unhealthy always use the synthetic form. Any study that utilized the natural form of Vitamin E always proved to be beneficial. Now, I understand that natural Vitamin E is more expensive then the synthetic form but I would rather be charged a few cents more per bottle than have to be concerned synthetic Vitamin E and it’s possible negative effects. I am very disappointed at Swanson for allowing synthetic Vitamin E into their Swanson brand products in general and the Active One multi, in particular.

About the best value of any multi I can find. I wish it had more magnesium, and a few more trace minerals.

Great once-a-day multi vitamin
This is a great multi vitamin for anyone who prefers taking one pill a day. My husband is on it, and he likes it a lot. It has all the basic nutrients in it, and is in capsule form for good absorption. I'd recommend this one over a drug store brand any day!

My husband and I have been taking this product for years and are very glad to find one without additional iron. We do wish it contained a larger proportion of vitamin C and calcium/magnesium.

Just the right multi
I love all the products I buy from Swanson, but I especially appreciate this multi-vitamin. It's small & easy to swallow, yet chock full of everything I need. I just got my Mom started taking it, because her previous multi vitamin had become too difficult to swallow & she was avoiding it.
I also love the fact that it's available with or w/o iron, for those of us who no longer need to take extra iron. It's a very well-thought-out daily vitamin combo at a great price.

Best Purchase Ever
I've been taking Active One Multi for a few years now & it's one of the best multi's; has everything I want in a multi vitamin. I used to take a higher potency multi but not only is Active One more affordable but it sure is better than the over-the-counter ones in drug stores.

I recommend this to all my friends. A wonderful value for the price. Can be judged by the high amounts of B vitamins.

small capsule is easy to swallow and i love the 25 mg of B complex it delivers.

recommended w/ reservations
Although this vitamin seems to have alot going for it - one a day, good quantity and quality of ingredients, capsules for greater absorption, it wasn't the right one for me or my husband. Both of us had a difficult time with it upon ingestion. It makes us nauseous. I can manage it if I eat mine right after a substantial meal, but that makes it a bit inconvenient if I want to take it on the go. I have the All-In-One for if I want to take vitamins at home so it kind of defeats the purpose for what I bought it for.

My husband and I have been taking these for years. They are a great deal for the money.

I have used this multivitamin for years. It is real and basic without the gimmicky fad ingredients that change with each new study. It has no herbs(weeds and bushes) which for a person with allergies is great but does have good amounts of "vitamins". It comes in a capsule which critical for me. Pills have binders, etc. and always makes my nose stuffy. After all a vitamin is supposed to help you feel better not worse.

Excellent Multi Vit/Mineral
This is a reasonably priced vitamin/mineral complex with the best quality source ingredients. Also, it is not compressed and the capsule can be opened to divide the dose, if desired.

For the price, this is one of the best multis on the market. All the minerals are in highly absorbable form, they include vitamin e succinate, which is the only form of vitamin e which has yielded outstanding results in multitudes of legitimate research. Also includes 2 mgs of vanadium an important trace mineral. Probably the vitamin D level could be higher (only 400 iu), and there is essentially no magnesium, but if more had been included it would not have been a one-a-day. I do recommend it to those who are looking for the best supplement at a truly affordable price, if you are willing to add to it a magnesium and calcium supplement.

Can't go wrong with this purchase. Great vitamin and mineral profile for the price. Just once a day and your good. No mega doses. No added herbs. Just what you need.

Great one a day vitamin
This is a great vitamin to take once a day and get all the nutrients needed. Most other vitamins require at least 2 a day to get the same dosage of vitamins. It is also an easy to swallow capsule.

This product is great. It is inexpensive and contains large amounts of certain B vitamins, which I appreciate, since they are beneficial for the skin and the nervous system.

My husband and I have taken this for years. He balks at taking pills, so the "one daily" multi is a must. When I judge a multi vitamin, I look first to see if it uses natural or synthetic Vitamin E. The less expensive brands usually use the synthetic version. But Swanson's Active One uses the more effective natural d-alpha. Also, it has more chromium and selenium than most other brands and good amounts of all other nutrients as well. This, despite the fact that it is very inexpensive in comparison. --And, it comes in a "without iron" form, something else you don't always find.

Wonderful daily vitamin
This is the best multivitamin I have ever taken. It gives me so much energy when I take it early in the mornings, and I really notice when I skip it. I've been using it all throughout my pregnancy as it does not have the unnatural ingredients that prenatal vitamins have. One caution is that it is quite strong, so I must take it while eating so it stays in my stomach. :) Thanks, Swanson, for a great product!
