I bought this at the yearly Thanksgiving Cyber Monday sale for 25% off. It cost $6.39. Great Price!!! Now, less than 4wks later, I go to reorder and it now costs $9.59 at 20% off. : ( What gives??? I'm heading to Walmart to get organic chia seeds and melatonin. I shoulda bought a bunch of bags on Cyber Monday. I've noticed the prices slowly creeping up since the sale of Swanson Vitamins in January 2016.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DetroitFan Same Organic Chia Seeds, Lower Price
These organic chia seeds are the same as those you can buy elsewhere aside from Swanson offering them vacuum packed at a lower price especially when Swanson sale prices are offered. Swanson Organic Chia Seed are the best quality chia seeds at the best price.

So far this has exceeded my expectations. I have been using Chia for some time and tried this and am impressed. It is every bit as good, or better, than the ones I used before costing much more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FitDoc1 PRETTY MUCH THE SAME
I like Chia Seeds, and these are Excellent Chia Seeds. I've always eaten the White Chia Seeds (since the 1960s). I don't know why; I guess the white chia seeds were what was available. Anyway, these Organic Black Chia Seeds taste fine, pretty neutral without any smell or much flavor. So for me, that makes them easy and non-objectionable to eat (except that they get caught between my teeth, which is easily overcome by drinking a mouthful of any liquid).
I have always found Chia Seeds to be very Satisfying. (I don't consume a large quantity / volume of Chia Seeds, so it's not that they are filling.) Actually, a few tsps of Chia Seeds are amazingly satisfying and sustaining for me. I just eat them off the spoon in between swallowing handfuls of my supplements. Lots and lots and lots of chewing, and then washing that mush down with some water or green tea or black coffee. Chia seeds seem to make all my supplements easy and comfortable to digest; keeps my stomach happy.
SIDE NOTE HERE: I do the same thing with Swanson's Hemp Seeds. Pretty much all that I mention as applying to Chia Seeds applies to the Hemp Seeds, too. Only two differences, really, are that I find the Hemp Seeds actually have a nice, nutty taste (better than the "non-taste" of Chia Seeds), and the Hemp Seeds don't get caught in my teeth to the extent that the Chia Seeds do, because the Hemp Seeds are a little bigger, and they yield to chewing up thoroughly better than the Chia Seeds. I switch off between these two truly excellent and awesome foods, because I get bored with the same-ol' same-ol' all the time every day.
Last time I was fixin' to buy some Chia Seeds, I saw these Swanson Organic Black Chia Seeds with basically the same claims / description as the White Chia Seeds. Being the scientist that I am, I thought I should give them a try. I find them to be PRETTY MUCH THE SAME overall as the white Chia Seeds.
For convenience sake, I just dumped this bag of Black Chia Seeds into my empty container that had held my previous supply of Swanson's White Chia Seeds. Dipping the tsp into that wide-neck jar is tidy and convenient. --- Much neater and easier for me than spooning a seed product like this out of a plastic bag.
I feel good, like I've had a healthful small meal or good snack after consuming a few tsps of Chia Seeds. My energy level remains strong and consistent, and they don’t bog me down. From all I have read, and the articles are more prevalent these days than ever before, Chia Seeds are a very super Super Food. Based on my own personal experience, I would have to agree with that. Works for me.

I love Swanson products and this Organic chia is no exception. I find it to be fresh and a quality food addition to my diet. I use it many times throughout the day but particularly love it in my daily yogurt. I like the crunch it adds in addition to knowing that it helps to supplement some of the natural vitamins we all need. This is one food item I will always buy from Swanson.

With so many healthful benefits, we like to add a tablespoon or two to our oatmeal before cooking. The seeds plump up and get soft during the cooking process. The chia seeds and added flax seeds make for a hearty breakfast.
