Great!! I have used Swanson organic coconut oil for several months and would never use anything else to cook with. It is the best for sauteing. I cringe when someone uses olive oil to fry with, which always leads me to share what I know about break down of olive oil into carginogens when used at high heat and that coconut oil is superior for this purpose. Use Olive Oil in salads. May 6, 2013
a great alternative for baking This Coconut Flour is easy and convenient to use. The taste is a little different but not bad. You need to double the amount of eggs to use with it which can get a little expensive if you don't have chickens. I also tried using a combination of whole wheat flour and this product and the results were even better. February 21, 2013
Healthy Substitute I use this instead of oils in baking recipes for the added health benefits and flavor. I also use it as the oil I fry my coconut flower pancakes in. January 24, 2013
Not for Sensitive People If you have sensitive Digestion, this is not for you. Its very harsh. October 8, 2012
Great taste I love using this in all of my baked recipes, especially banana bread or pancakes. July 30, 2012
Good Quality Coconut Flour Our family is highly satisfied with this coconut flour. Living in a rural area, ordering this product (which is unavailable where we live) from Swanson's is wonderful. Not only is it conveniently shipped to our home, but the product itself is truly 5-star. We use this flour to replace 20% of our wheat flour when baking, which works well to provide an alternative to all-purpose white flour. Although the dough or batter may have a coconut smell, it dissipates after baking if you only use the specified 20%. March 19, 2012
One of my favorite Swanson products My husband and I are gluten free, and I am nearly entirely grain free. I missed all the wonderful breads, cookies, cakes, etc., and the GF box mixes are loaded with sugar. I purchased this product when it first came out, along with the cookbook, and read the cookbook cover to cover. Nobody that I serve these delicious baked goods to ever believes they are not only grain-free, but high in protein, and fiber as well. The reviewer who did not like the product needs to try again, this time with Dr. Fife's recipes. March 17, 2012
Really scrumptious! While coconut flour seems a bit pricy at first, it doesn't take nearly so much as gluten flours do for really delicious recipes. If you are new to coconut flour (as I was) be sure to also purchase the coconut flour cookbook to avoid mistakes. March 12, 2012
unless you need gluten free avoid This pretty much ruined everything I put it in. Unless you need gluten free and therefore have to accept the denseness of this gooey or gluey result, I recommend to get the benefits of coconuts from another product. I experimented with different proportions with wheat flour, temperatures, additional hydration etc. Every trick I could learn for using this flour returned unsatisfactory results for our texture and taste buds. I had been hopeful but realize not every healthy product will be acceptable to us. December 25, 2011
Best coconut flour! The first coconut flour I bought was the Swanson brand, and then bought the "other" brand that Swanson sells. The Swanson coconut flour is superior in quality and taste- worth the extra price. I love it! July 22, 2011
Hello again, chocolate cake Awesome, awesome, awesome. I bought this on amazon (from Swanson) and just baked a sugar free super low carb chocolate cake with it. I have to say, this stuff rocks. It adds a very subtle aroma and sweetness that I absolutely love! It's not quite actively coconut-y- you wouldn't be able to tell that it was made with a coconut product if you didn't know, but there's just something very floral about the taste that is unique. Remember to use a ton of extra eggs and a bit of oil in any recipe where you substitute this for wheat flour! Otherwise it can be dry. Also, this cooks up very densely, so don't take too big a slice either! It's very velvety and flavorful- I think I'd be cooking with it even if I wasn't trying to lower my carb intake! April 22, 2011
good tasteing heathy food I bought this the first time because of a wheat allergy . imagine a blueberry muffin w/walnuts for breakfast ( first time in years) pancakes too!! The Quality is great , low fat, high fiber and good tasting. What more could I want? The recipe book is a must. I have bought4 jars to date and plan to restock as needed October 21, 2010
Best choice for baking This coconut flour is a very nice flour to bake with. You don't use very much of it any of the recipes. It is a very light coconut flavor. June 23, 2010
Coconut flour is great for those trying to cut down on gluten or gluten free diets. I make a wonderful Cranberry-Walnut bread from it. Like to see new recipes. Thanks May 20, 2010
Excellent flour! This is such a fun product to use. It is delicous and has the highest fiber of all flours. It is also very nutrious for you. I have never tried it before, but now I am using this to bake bread on weekly bases. I also recommend buying the book "How to cook with coconut flours" which swanson also sells. Coconut bread was filling, tasted delicious and easy to make once you follow the direction. April 13, 2010
great product Get the book from Swanson on Cooking with Cocunt Flour. Awesome info on health benefits of using coconut flour and other coconut products. Gluten free and high in fiber! Tastes yummy. March 11, 2010
