Rated 5 out of 5 by JasonB My preference for supplemental soluble fiber
This product is my preference for supplementing soluble fiber. I mix this powder in with many other powders such as protein powder, sunflower lecithin, cocoa powder, dietary cellulose, etc., and then after mixing together a large amount of the powders I dissolve the powders into almond milk along with peanut oil and MCT oil before placing in the fridge overnight, which then provides a healthy and tasty drink throughout the following day. Because I mix the Acacia powder with the other powders BEFORE mixing into liquid, I do not have any issue getting this stuff to dissolve immediately. The problem I found with using psyllium as soluble fiber is that after it soaks in the liquid for a few hours it seems to soak up the flavor, causing a bland taste whereas the drink typically tastes very good. The Acacia powder is tasteless and does not alter the taste of the drink no matter how long I leave it in the fridge before drinking.

I have found that I can only take so much psyllium. This product is great because I can take it in addition to psyllium. I downgraded Convenience and Satisfaction because it does not dissolve well. Using an immersion blender takes care of that problem, but is not convenient.

I like this fiber, because it is tasteless. I put it in my smoothies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SpecialNana easy way to add fiber
The only subtle complaint I have is the issue of dissolving. It does take a while to completely dissolve, I use it in my morning coffee. It is tasteless and convenient.

I can mix this fiber in my coffee, and it disappears. This makes it easy to take.

Acacia Fiber has almost a slight nutty flavor and I found it dissolves nicely in my morning coffee. This is a wonderful product that I would highly recommend to those that take fiber.

I'd been using another fiber powder but decided to try an organic one. I was disappointed because I never saw a result.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Junison Hard to dissolve
I find this powder very hard to dissolve. It clumps up even in hot beverages. Maybe "working" at it or putting it in shaker bottles will eventually unclump it and help it dissolve, but for me it's too inconvenient.

This is the exact same organic fiber powder as Heather's tummy fiber, but a little cheaper.
Love that it mixes with ease and has little taste.

I use it daily in my frozen fruit shakes as it have no flavour but it is pleasent and very low on calories, it is very neutral. it is not a thickener, it is very thin and will not add bulk, it is not a diet fiber as such, but rather it imparts a very mild and light smooth texture to my daily diet fruit shake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marcian Better than the name brands
I've been using a similar commercial product, but was enticed to try this powder when it was a BOGO. It takes a bit more work to get it dissolved, but it is a more natural product and the "results" are even better than the name brand product.

I purchased the product based on a TV show from Dr. Oz about this product helping to lose weight. It does fill you up so that you eat less, it has no taste or texture and fairly affordable. If I could remember to use it more often it would be very beneficial.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GiveMeNatural Purchased this product as a tool in reducing caloric intake. I think this has helped. I have put it in coffee, tomato juice, and smoothies and once just sprinkled on some rice. It takes some time to incorporate into beverages, a shaker or blender definitely helps. It will dissolve into coffee, it just takes some patience. It has no grittiness or unpleasant taste and I am satisfied with the product.

It's true, it is tasteless!
Easy to sprinkle on some foods or incorporate in hot cereals or pancake or sprinkle on soups. Not useful on veggies or salads. Keeps you satisfied.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Had2 it's not right
My first order came burnt and brown. my replacement (from the same lot as the first, even though I was asked for this info so as NOT to get from the same lot) came, not burnt but still brown. I added a scoop to water, like looked like dark tea, I didn't drink it. Swanson offered to replace with different organic brand, NOW, their's comes brown also. Acacia fiber is White. I don't know what they are doing to this but it is not supposed to be brown. Swanson is great, love to shop here, but very disappointed in this and will continue to get my fiber from Heathers Tummy Tamers, same price for size and excellent quality. This is a miss for me.

Acacia is a great addition to any diet! It has done wonders for my insides! It doesn't mix quite as well as the Now brand but that ALL taste exactly the same, no matter what others say :)

I had high hopes for this product but it hasn't worked well for me. It does not mix well with liquids. I put it in a shaker with a protein drink and it ended up as gummy clumps stuck to the cup. Took forever to get it out of the shaker grid. I tried just putting some in my mouth and drinking it down. Nope - it stuck to my teeth and the roof of my mouth. I'm not sure if it works or not because I can't figure out how to take it.

I used to use this product and I found it to be an excellent and well tolerated form of fiber. Recently Swanson changed the formula and color and now I find that the powder absolutely does not dissolve in liquid. It globs up and floats at the top of my glass. No good. I hope that they return to the original formula.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rosalita Acacia Powder Not What I expected
This product is not what I was expecting at all. The brand I have been using for years is a silky, fine white powder which dissolves instantly in liquid. It is tasteless and odorless. The Swanson product is brown, course and does not dissolve well in liquid at all. It also has a taste that is not pleasant. I would not buy this product again.

After 3 months of searching for the right product, someone recommended Swanson's Acacia Fiber Powder. I was stunned and exhilirated by the results!
For mixing, mix with either something like applesauce or treat it as tho you're making gravy and add a little room temp water then slowly add either hot or cold drink.

This is such a great product on many levels. For those of you who find it hard to dissolve just do what I do; use a blender bottle with a spiral ball and give it a few shakes and your done - it's perfect! This is my second order and it's my favorite brand.
