Menstrual Cup Disposable
Way too messy
I just saw softcups in the store yesterday, was intrigued by the concept and decided to give them a try. The positives are that they are easy to insert, comfortable to wear, and effective with very little leakage. A minor negative it that there is a twinge of discomfort when removing them (like that of removing a super-size tampon). But a huge negative is the mess -- I haven't yet been able to remove one without getting my hand covered in blood, and have to be extremely careful and use a ton of tp to not get blood on everything. If I were using these in a busy public restroom it would be terrible -- I would be mortified to leave the stall and have everyone see my bloody hand before I could wash it up.
Perhaps they will be better on light-flow days; however, I'm not interested in purchasing them just for use on light-flow days when their are less costly alternatives. I definitely will not be purchasing any more softcups -- in fact, I may not even finish the box I have.

I have always had extremely hard periods and pads don't cut it. Tampons were always messy and made me itch but I had to wear them. I discovered softcups literally at the tail end of my last period. And couldn't wait til a full one just to really see if they would stand up to my massive periods. I am floored. My flow is even lighter, my pain is less, softcups have overnight become my saving grace! Thank you for making them!!!

Bought this product to give it a try. While the instructions were self-explanatory and it was easy to insert I noticed after about two hours it was leaking. Upon going to remove it I had to spend a good 30 minutes fishing for it. Not one of my finer moments and I'm too mortified to give it a try again, especially considering I followed directions. Next time I'll know not to waste my money.

not quite what I hoped
when i first heard about softcup, i thought it was brilliant. i purchased my first box recently however, and was disappointed. I took three issues with the product.
1: it really can't be worn during sex. If you watch the insertion vid, you'll see why. My boyfriend and I can both feel the cups stiff rim, and it takes up way too much room in the vaginal canal.
2: it only comes in one size, and I find it WAY larger than necessary. The rim, as before stated, takes up the whole vagina, when it could easily have been half as big and just fit over the cervix.
3: I still have spots of blood on my underpants if I don't wear mini pads. The bulk of the menstrual blood was in the cup, but even after 6 hours I would find spotting.
Alll in all, would have been WAY better if the cup fit snugly around the cervix instead just sitting akwardly over the top vaginal wall.

Great But takes some time
Tampons are not for me. And I am sick of menstrual pads I often throw away. I tried it the first time with some leaks. I readjusted to reduce leaks. I think after a few more cycles I will be able to use it with fewer leaks and more comfort. However, I still liked it very much after it was properly inserted.

I could have forgotten about it .
I loved this product I first tried it over night and had no leaks and with tampons or pads I almost always have leaks and on top of that I couldn't feel it once I got it in right . was a little scared that I'd forget about it but thank god I didn't . I still recommended it to all of my friends.

I've been using softcup for over a year now and I'm so happy I made the switch! I think of it as "set it and forget it." Sometimes I even forget I have my period, so I often leave a softcup out before I go to sleep so I don't forget to change it in the morning. Of course, now I feel comfortable having sex while on my period. It's the only thing I use now-- my vagina has seen a tampon since 2012! Sure, it can be messy when you change it... but its all worth it and at least you can do it in the privacy of your own home. I do need to finally try the reusable version, I've just been too lazy to order it online.

Proper Insertion Video for inverted/tilted cervix
I actually have used this some years ago and had difficulty from spillage and it appeared a little too big.I went to the doctor and was told I have an inverted or tilted cervix. Is it possible if you can provide proper instructions via video for women like me?! I want to possibly try it again.

I bought this product because I recently got a birth control implant called Nexplanon, and it has caused me to have constant bleeding. This issue has made my sex life less enjoyable. Since I read that the softcup is comfortable and promotes mess free sex, I decided to give it a try. The process of insertion was easy. I could not feel the soft cup and neither could my partner during sex. There was no mess, and removal was easy as well. I recommend going into the shower to remove it. I could not feel the softcup when I had it in all day, and there were no leaks. It was as if I was not even on my period!

Nope! Not happening!
I bought these as a trial run to see if I could handle it because I have been looking into one of the reusable silicon ones. I have a super heavy flow. I bleed through a super plus tampon and one of those giant purple overnight pads (the ones that are like the size and shape of a cruiser bicycle seat) at night and was hoping this would make it so I could sleep through the night and not wake up to a crime scene in my bed. I was a little nervous because 4 hours into my first daytime softcup I went to the bathroom and the thing just totally dumped it's load in the toilet. The instructions said "some leaking" might occur when I use the bathroom... that was not "some" the whole thing dumped! I didn't have any leaking any other time though so I decided to go for it and try overnight. I still used one of my giant pads as back up, thank goodness! At 4am my son woke up to nurse. I got up to grab him and the thing dumped it's load again. I was so grossed out and had to just sit there in it to nurse my son back to sleep so he didn't wake up the house before I could deal with it and then I was so disgusted by it I couldn't go back to sleep! I still think I am going to try one of those silicon ones since their cup will probably hold it's shape. I think the flaw with these is that the cup is just a bit of thin plastic and does not hold it's shape so move in a way that crushes the cup and everything comes pouring out! There is no way mess free sex could happen unless I put in a new one and get right to it!

No more constant bathroom trips
I am still a beginner of the soft cups but I love them. With tampons I had to check every hour to make sure I was not leaking because my flow is heavy and now I don't have to worry about that anymore. It is a little messy when I remove it but lucky for me I work in the medical field so I have lots of gloves at home. I like not having to carry around a bunch of tampons and pads everyday. I definitely would not switch from soft cups and recommend them for any female. I am so glad I found out about these.

Never going back to tampons!!
I have been using this product since 2001. I was easily irritated by tampons because my flow was inconsistent. Once I got comfortable with insertion and removal process, there are absolutely no negatives to this product! I've seen some reviews that say it's "messy", but after a few uses both insertion and removal can be mess-free.
Softcup does everything it claims! I especially like that I can insert one on the morning of the day that I'm expecting my period, and unlike a tampon, it doesn't matter if/when my period starts--there will be no irritation no matter what level flow I have.
Another favorite feature for me is the ability to use one during intercourse. I put in a fresh one right before and we don't even notice it's there! Plus--no mess!
After using this product for the past 13 years, I will NEVER go back to using tampons!

Never felt so comfortable
I tried the soft cup when I was 12 when I first started my period like the same day I started and I was young so it hurt and didn't fit correctly. I also had never used tampons before so it was from nothing to something kinda big. I am now 15 and I tried it again for the first time and it doesn't hurt and I love it so much so much freedom and I can wipe without pulling a string!

Great features but big problems
I bought softcup about a week ago to wear before my period in a 'just in case' situation. It was much, much more comfy than a tampon and easy to insert, but in less than an hour it started slipping out. I decided to give it another shot today during my period, and it stayed in great but unfortunately started leaking pretty bad after about 4 hours. The fact that it is leaking is a huge concern for me and it makes me anxious about wearing it in public. But today was a heavy day for me so hopefully it will do better on my light days. I would reccomend wearing a pantyliner while using this product, and also advise you to change it frequently on heavy days.

I was very skeptical into trying this product at first. Wasnt sure how it would work if it would feel comfortable or anything. But after much much reading online, knowing all the facts, making sure it was close to 100 % safe, and there was a lot of advantages I decided to give it a go. And it is actually it promised to be.
Compared to tampax : I never felt comfortable using tampons, they use to hurt, I didnt like to wear them for swimming because I was always afraid the thread would show, while with soft cup everything is taken away ! you really never feel it, and you dont have to worry about having a little thread.
Compared to pads, which I used almost exclusively since tampons never really worked for me : You just feel a lot cleaner all in all. With pads you have to change every 3-4 hours (especially with heavy flow) And it smells, lots of leakage for my part, having to figure out which one to wear accordingly to the flow thats always kind of change. Also when you want to try on something at the fitting rooms its always kind of tricky.
So yes it is life changing. I am amazed how much that product improved quality of life for me :
- dont have to worry about the thread
- Dont have to change for 12 hours so usually i manage to change in my bathrooms
- Absolutly no leakage
- you really feel much cleaner througout the day
- It manage to make my flow end faster, I didnt get several day of small spotting
- You absolutly dont feel it.
There is however some improvements I would suggest to the company :
- make a on the go soft cup. Especially for the disposable, could you join maybe a little wipe ?
- make the package reclosable, like pads... if you are in a public bathroom you dont want to thrown something bloody non reclosed
- Please make the reusable one available in quebec or deliver online here ! :)
But apart from these points : this is a product I recommend and every woman should at least try it and judge for herself if it works for her, because if it does, it is just a lot easier for us !

The best from day one
I've only used it for one day of my period and I'm so happy that i tried them. I'm never going back to pads or tampons. I was kinda nervous about inserting it but after looking at the instructions and the videos its really easy.

This is the first day I've used softcup. It's a heavier flow day, I wore it 10 hours without feeling it, no leakage just protection. Taking out was easy and comfortable. I will never wear a pad or tampon again! Softcup is amazing!! :)

If I was using a soft cup while on my period would there still be any chance of getting pregnant?

Changed my life!!
I have been using Softcup for 7 years, since the age of 19. I love love love love love it!!! I still wear a light pad to catch minor leaks, but it has really changed my life and given me one less thing to worry about while on vacations, dates, sleepovers, beach trips, playing sports, working long days, etc. The downsides to this product are that it is kind of painful and messy during removal, and it's not totally leak proof. But, I am totally willing to put up with a teeny bit of leakage and that 1 minute of discomfort for almost 12 hours of comfort and peace of mind. Overall, I highly recommend this product!!

first time wearing it today!
I am beyond happy with the softcup. It was so comfortable! I just got my first real period after being on the pill for 10 years so i was nervous about trying something new for a heavier flow than ive been used to. I didnt even have to change it at work!

I have used softcyps for about 10 years and have loved them! My doctor recommended them after I got TSS, as the safer alternative. They are comfortable, and so easy to use! I love this product and will continue to use it and recommend it to all my friends/family!
