C and E Support Mental Acuity

Investigators examined the relationship between supplementation of vitamins C and E and the risk of age-related mental decline among 4,740 elderly residents from Cache County, UT. Analysis of data showed that people taking a combination of vitamins C and E were 78% less likely to suffer a drop in mental acuity. In a follow-up study, subjects taking vitamins C and E were 64% less likely to sustain any appreciable decline in mental health.
