Pomegranate/Lactic Acid Peptide & Botanical Exfoliant
This item had not been reviewed so I purchased it based on the ingredients and my experience with this type of ingredients. Reviva claims it is great for all skin types and non-abrasive. These claims are not accurate based on my experience. If you have dry or sensitive skin this is not the best exfoliant for you, nor could you use it 3 to 4 times a week without irritation. This exfoliant is a heavy clay base with small abrasive particles for abrasive-type exfoliation. You are instructed to apply, let it dry on the skin and rub off with a dry towel. After trying this once, my sensitive skin was red and irritated. Not from any allergic reaction, but the intense dryness of the ingredients and the mechanics of the process. I tried it again, several days later, let it dry and washed it off. It still irritated my skin.
This exfoliant may be fine for oily skin. Reviva needs to conduct more tests and be more selective in their recommendations for skin types.
