Earthpaste Amazingly Natural Toothpaste Peppermint
Oh yes, more of this please!
This is a long review, so for the sake of those who want a quick answer: It's a clay-based toothpaste that I highly recommend. Buy it. Thanks for reading my review! :D
Can you actually get excited about toothpaste? Well, I did! I got sooooo sick of seeing most toothpastes at the grocery store having fluoride, and after researching fluoride, well lets just say I never want to use it again. And so my search for the most natural toothpaste began.
I found a few close candidates at the store, but they annoyingly had other chemical stuff that I did not like, like that stuff that makes soap foam. Then much later on, I found this clay-based toothpaste. Earthpaste huh? I was intrigued. I looked at all of the ingredients on the bottle......huh.....this looked too good to be true: Few ingredients....simple-sounding....safe maybe? OK!
Some first impressions:
When I first got this and opened the bottle and squeezed this stuff onto my toothbrush, I immediately noticed this was DIFFERENT; yes, it was not pasty-white, like caulking for a house; but instead looked like a clean, clay-like paste, like what was used in art class back in school that you would make clay cups, pots, etc. out of.
It tasted somewhat earthy, (ha ha, get it!?) with a nice peppermint zinger!
I believe that this stuff does indeed work BETTER than regular toothpaste. I was actually surprised. The toothbrush that I used I bought here on swansons: a Doctor Collins Perio, (which I also highly recommend). When I brushed, it did seem to get the nasty stuff off of my teeth and my braces better. ( I still use my mini power-washer for teeth to fine-clean my braces. They're still a pain, in more ways than one.) I would also like to add that this toothpaste seems to be more abrasive than the regular kind, so I suggest that if you try this stuff, to brush more gently at first, and see what this stuff can do at that gauge.
You may see a warning label stating that this product MAY contain trace amounts of lead. Well, in my humble opinion, first of all, I think that fluoride is a bigger problem, and secondly; I do not think that there is a remotely significant amount of lead in this toothpaste. There is probably more lead in the dust that gets in the air that I regularly breathe in my opinion. *This is just my speculation and opinions. Please take it with a grain of sand; or lead in this case.*
With a discount of %43 off retail at the time that I typed this review, I'm going to give it 5 leaves, with also considering quality of ingredients and overall price.
Final thoughts: If you want to try a more natual toothpaste that is outside of what so many toothpaste companies have done, is affordable, looks cool, and has high-quality ingredients that are simple enough to pronounce, then here is a toothpaste to smile about. :D

I have been looking for Earthpast after seeing a magazine ad for it. Of course, I could not find it in any local store, only health food stores for a pretty penny! So, I am thrilled that Swanson has it, and more affordable! I love the minty taste, love that it is 100% natural and good for me. I have noticed that it is whitening my teeth, and nothing has worked prior to this for whitening! I personally think it is the combination of clay, and Xylitol. Very happy with it!

Sguirts out all over the sink
I liked the toothpaste ingredients and is a very natural product, but I don't care for the dispensing of this product. Did the company actually test this. It went all over my sink every time I tried to squeeze it out and sometimes there was an air pocket, and it flew several feet. I wouldn't purchase this again because of that. If they change the dispensing method, I may consider it.

I have been looking everywhere for a toothpaste that does not have chemicals that are harmful to the body. This has been the only one that I have found that I like. The peppermint seriously freshens breathe better than Colgate and other "typical" toothpastes. Your mouth feels icy fresh. Very nice.I have also tried the lemon toothpaste, which tastes just like lemonade.

Love this Toothpaste!
I've been using several different 'natural' toothpastes over the years. And several of them over the years have added chemicals and other undesirable ingredients.
Not so with Earthpaste!
I've used both the Peppermint & the Wintergreen. I love them both, but find the peppermint 'more refreshing in my mouth'.
It does an excellent job in cleaning your teeth.
It's not gritty, so no worries about damaging enamel.
2 things you'll find 'different'.
The color is the color of clay..duh! main ingredient and no chemicals to change the color.
Next is it quickly liquifies in your mouth...but believe me, it STILL does the job.
And on top of all that..you can swallow it! I just rinse and swallow. The ingredients are good for you!

I researched many toothpastes. I think this is the best. Not many ingredients. No fluoride, no foaming agent (sodium lauryl sulfate), no artificial color. I couldn't find anything better. Safe enough to swallow. I researched other natural toothpastes and this was the best.

Good Tasting Toothpaste
Bought this on a whim and glad I did. My teeth stay clean quite a while after using this. Love the taste. Having minerals in the ingredients can only be a good thing.

Cleans very well & tastes great too.

I use this, but my family will not. It is not as sweet as other toothpastes, and it does not foam up. I don't mind this and am glad to use an all natural paste without anything bad in it. But any who are used to commercial toothpaste would have to want to get used to it. The peppermint is good and strong, my mouth does feel fresh afterward.

Super for Sensitive Teeth
My teeth are hyper-sensitive, usually I can't use toothpaste with any kid of minty flavor because of the pain it causes. I gave up on Sensodyne years ago, too painful and didn't work.
At my dentist's suggestion I tried Xylitol toothpaste, which was also too painful with the mint and didn't help my sensitivity.
So, rather than use just plain water or calcium carbonate, I tried this.
I love it!
It's pretty bland in the mint department, which is great. And it gets my teeth clean without them being too squeaky and hurting.
This is very different from any toothpaste I've ever used for taste, texture and the way it leaves my mouth feeling.
My teeth aren't hurting after I brush and even my breath is better.
2 thumbs up, 5 stars!

Truly Natural Toothpaste
This is a toothpaste that I love the ingredients in, and that is very hard to find. It doesn't contain any ingredients that would keep teeth from remineralizing. My family likes the taste too.

This is a good product; however, I was disappointed. It dispenses thinly through a narrow opening so it's awkward to use and the flavor is only mild, so it doesn't freshen my breath as much as I would expect it too. I do like the ingredient list, though. With a couple improvements, it could more than meet my expectations.

The Best Natural Toothpaste!
Has a great light mint flavor and no toxic ingredients. It does not foam up in your mouth like most commercial toothpastes because it is made only with natural ingredients from the earth. It also is a brown color paste because of the clay it is made out of. But it leaves my teeth feeling clean without any toxic or abrasive chemicals. The best alternative to toxic store bought toothpastes.

I ordered this toothpaste because I wanted to find something healthier. It's difficult to find toothpastes without glycerine, sodium laurel sulfates, whiteners, etc. I'm also impressed with other Redmond products so decided to try this new toothpaste. It has none of the undesirable additives and my teeth feel clean afterwards. It is unconventional though. Without the whiteners it is a grayish brown color. It also does not suds in your mouth. But you don't need either of those to clean your teeth. You can taste the natural peppermint flavor but it's not overwhelming.
