Xylitol instead of sugar
I've been using Xylitol for a few years now in place of regular sugar. It's does not leave an "after" taste that other sugar substitutes do. Measurements are 1:1 ratio. I've used it in baking and making ice cream as well. Swanson's has the best price that I've seen for this product.

Use instead of sugar
I have used Xylitol for a few years now. It works well in coffee, and also for baking. I wanted something that does not raise blood sugar but still tasted good and was not an artificial sweetener. I has worked for me in all baking but not for things like candies or icings or sweet cooked sauces.

Very good product. One thing, I wish Swanson offered xylitol in a larger bulk package. I'd like to see Swanson offer a 10 pound package to customers.

Corn and not Birch
I tried the Swanson brand first made with Birch, as that is what I researched Xylitol is made from and I loved it, as well as some of my guests. So when I saw the NOW brand and how cheap, it was a no brainer to buy...however, after using 2 teaspoons a day my stool pattern changed...from loose to diarrhea. I continued using it not knowing, until I read on the package that this Xylitol is made from corn, a cheaper product. I stopped using it to see if that was causing it and Bammm....bad to normal in a day. Now I am afraid to try the Swanson brand again, but I will give it another try as I need sweet in my coffee and don't like Stevia/Truvia.

Although the product is labeled "Pwdr" , it appears to me to be more like crystalline sugar, except with bigger crystals. It is necessary to keep it tightly sealed, because it tends to pick up moisture. I like the taste of NOW brand xylitol sprinkled on warm gluten free oatmeal and have blended it with stevia for making fresh lemonade. The xylitol gives a natural sugar-type taste that Stevia alone lacks. I am careful to use it sparingly because in larger quantities it tends to speed gastrointestinal elimination. I have not yet baked with it, but just have used it on cereal and for sweetening lemonade or tea. Swanson Vitamin's price on the NOW brand Xylitol is good.

I was very happy to find your website and order the Xylitol. It is a great product and I could not be happier with it and your service. Thanks again!

Best Xylitol at Best Price
Having tried other brands of Xylitol I reorder Now's brand in this larger bag regularly. I find that Swanson has much better prices than local health food stores.
I enjoy Xylitol in my morning coffee or afternoon tea since I have been moving to eliminate the majority of sugars from my diet.
I just wish that Now and Swanson would get better packaging for their "convenience" packets of Xylitol which are hard to open and have small to almost nothing inside them.
But the bulk Xylitol is great.

Great Sugar Substitute
Xylitol has a low glycemic index and works well in baking and in tea or coffee or anything else for which you wish to use it.

Sweet tooth without rotten teeth!
Like almost everyone's xylitol. It's granulated. Would be better if the granules were smaller so it would disolve more quickly in cold drinks. Good price.

Tastes EXACTLY like sugar!
I wouldn't put anything nasty in my beautiful morning coffee, but since I don't use white table sugar, I'm always on the lookout for something new, tasty, affordable AND SAFE. The only warning I would give is if you consume too much, you could get diarrhea! But its so tasty, that you won't want to overdose on it, just savor it for whatever is special to you, like MORNING COFFEE (and real cream)! I alternate with Agave if I'm having a 2nd cup, so I can leave the house without fear of DRAMA! lol! You will LOVE this stuff, I promise. I believe you can bake with Xylitol, but I've only used it for a crumb topping to my apple or peach crisp. Hubby did not know the difference! :)

Very disappointed. Tastes metallic and leaves a nasty aftertaste. Agave is much closer to the taste of cane sugar. Not worth the price.

Love this stuff
If you can find Xylitol anywhere for this price, I'd like to know. And I've searched everywhere. I don't bake with this, but I use it in everything else. Tastes just like sugar. The only thing I don't like is it's very sensitive to static electricity. Weird comment for a food, but can't poor it into any other container, like a sugar bowl, without it flying all over the place. Tiny gripe. Love this product!

I have been purchasing Now Foods Xylitol for several months. I try to limit my use of regular sugar so when I want something sweet, I use Xylitol as my sweetener. I like that it comes in a 2.5 lb. size and that it's almost like real sugar. I've found that if it's heated, it loses some of its sweetness but if using in something that doesn't have to be cooked, it works just like sugar. I think this is a great product and I highly recommend it.

Granulated xylitol is a versatile and extremely valuable low-calorie sweetener. I often use it in conjunction with stevia, as the two combined provide a cleaner, sweeter, taste than larger amounts of either alone.
Neither is affected much by cooking, so baking is not a problem with either or both together.
The NOW brand xylitol provides a useful amount of product, at a reasonable price, and is of excellent quality.

Best sugar replacement no bad aftertaste
Xylitol is an amazing product with many healthy uses. I have used it in many foods and it works great. I like that it looks and tastes like sugar. The 1:1 ratio makes it easy to use. Everyone in my house thinks it's sugar.

When You Need A Sweet Fix!
I love this sweetener! It works great in baked goods (most) and perfect for adding to coffee and tea or homemade lemonade...just about anything! It does NOT caramelize well at all so for the very rare times that I want to do that, organic, raw sugar works.

Great replacement for regularly used sweeteners. Highly recommend this product if you're looking for an alternative to the norm.

xylitol from corn
in my research, including dr.mercola and others, this type of xylitol is to be avoided, as is derived from corn, and not birch bark.

Awesome natural sugar substitute with no aftertaste. It says powder but it's really granules like regular sugar. My wife and I love this stuff. Great for baking, use 1 to 1 just like you would sugar, put it on your cereal, coffee, tea or anything else you desire.

Sweet Taste & Few Calories
This product tastes like sugar but with fewer calories. Love it!

Have changed over almost all sweetner use to xylitol and find it's easy to substitute! Hear it's good for mouth and teeth hygiene, also, so it makes it doubly good to use.
