The Best Coconut Oil
I don't really get the complaints here. I haven't ordered this product from Swanson but I order it directly from NOW through my business. This is the best coconut oil I've had. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality oil Great taste and consistency. I cook with it all the time and use it on my skin. Plus it is in a glass jar which is a big plus for me.

great product
i got this as a christmas gift. i take coconut oil daily in a softgel however, this is a great alternative!
my girlfriend (the gift giver) uses her oil as a mouth cleaner...just swish a tablespoon in her mouth while she showers and she has a healthier mouth.
i only use mine for consuming and as a hand lotion. it smells the whole kitchen up like a tropical oasis and for the most part, which is great! i rarely notice any taste of the oil when i use it in my foods unless i use more than a couple tablespoons (which i hardly do) i personally don't have a problem with the taste right out of the jar...it is a natural oil folks, not a flavored bubble gum.
i have noticed that since i've been cooking with the oil my skin (naturally prone to dryness) has become less dry and has a richer color to it.

BEST taste and smell
i dont know why so many complains after all its 100% natural pure unrefined coconut oil which people used for centuries. i love the taste of oil and it makes my skin soft , absorbs fast and non greasy.smell of real coconut.

You get what you pay for
I bought this coconut oil once, after having ran out of my regular brand. This is by far, the worst tasting coconut oil I have ever experienced. I tried cooking some grass fed beef hot dogs with this oil and had to throw them out because I could not tolerate the taste. I thought maybe I just bought a bad jar, but the expiration date was good, and having read other reviews I know now that it's the oil that's bad. Never will I buy this brand again... I'd rather use soybean oil over this product.

do not recommend
i bought this product because i like Now brand products and because it was in a glass jar. It is the worst tasting coconut oil I have ever tried--was going to throw it away but decided to use it as a body oil.

Coconut Oil
I have found that this Coconut Oil smells very good.
I also like the fact that it comes in a glass jar. I have tried many different Coconut Oils and for the price this seems to be the best one out there.

I'm a big fan of Now Foods products, therefore I have high regard for the quality of this product as a health supplement; but I don't recommend it for eating out of the jar as it has a strong soapy taste. I realize the taste is due to it's state as "virgin and unrefined," and I can appreciate that for it's value in a health context. This oil also tends to burn more easily if you cook with it - especially popcorn. My quality and value rating is high as this is a good company and the price is very reasonable when considering the competition. I would recommend this product as a health supplement
