NOW Tru-C BioComplex contains an extract of the Amla Berry (Phyllanthus emblica), one of the most frequently used Ayurvedic herbs. Amla is an exceptionally rich source of vitamin C, bioflavonoids, and tannins. Recent scientific studies have shown that the tannins and flavonoids unique to Amla can help to support and modulate immune function. Amla may also provide protection for vascular structures against oxidative stress. In addition, Tru-C BioComplex contains rutin, rose hips and grape seed extract as synergists. NOW Tru-C BioComplex contains only non-GMO, fruit derived Vitamin C. Citrus free. Vegetarian. Contains no sugar, salt, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, milk, egg, shellfish or preservatives.

Excellent form of Vitamin C & Then Some! Began taking a few years ago as a better source of vitamin C. From the Amla berry (also known as the Indian gooseberry). Just read more benefits of it on Wikipedia. Recommend it highly. It's a bit pricey, but Swanson has about the best offering. Tho I like that it's in veggie caps, I find them not as easy to swallow or get down as tabs. May 31, 2013

Worth the price! Virtually everyone knows the value of vitamin C and keeps it on hand. This is the one I keep even if I pay twice or three times the amount of "ascorbic acid" . My Chiropractic Doctor told me there are 15 components to vitamin C; ascorbic acid is just one of them! Taking Tru-C, which comes completely from foods, is probably the closest you can get to the nutrition your body would get if you ate a food containing high amounts of vitamin C It's worth the price!
