  • 100% pure, dry roasted

  • Chocolate substitute

  • Gluten free
The mild sweetness of carob powder is due to the naturally occurring sugars in the carob. Carob (Ceratonia siliqua) or St. John's Bread comes from the pods of an evergreen tree native to the Eastern Mediterranean area. Unlike cocoa beans, Carob Powder doesn't contain the stimulant theobromine and has significantly less fat. Can be used as a substitute for cocoa powder in milk and baking recipes.

This product contains no salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, milk, egg or preservatives.

Love it.. For medical reasons I can't have chocolate and found this carob powder and love it...Its not as sweet as chocolate so you could add a little sugar to it but I love it the way it is..great for hot chocolate in milk and to bake with. November 12, 2012
Very good We have used carob for about 7 years due to a chocolate allergy in one of my children. We have only used the one brand available at the health food store. I was placing an order and thought I would thry this one. I am very pleased with it. The texture is finer and the taste is a little sweeter then the other though the ingredients are the same. Overall we are very pleased with it. Baked cakes and made frosting with it and all were very good! January 11, 2011
