NOW Foods' Acetyl L-Carnitine is in a highly bioavailable form of L-Carnitine that can cross the blood-brain barrier, where it exerts an antioxidant effect, helps to maintain healthy cellular energy metabolism and supports brain function. Acetyl L-Carnitine is a modified amino acid that supports cellular energy production by assisting in the transport of fat into the mitochondria where it is oxidized and converted into ATP (chemical energy for the cell).

Acetyl L-Carnitine 500 mg I purchased this to help me with curbing my appetite and it is working. No jitters, shakes, or any of the other side effects that I expected, just less appetite over time. I would recommend this to someone who is trying to lose weight in a sensible fashion and not expecting to drop 30 pounds in one month because that has not been my results nor my expectations.
