Swanson Doubling International Sales

In a move to double its international sales over the next 18 months, Swanson Health Products recently launched a new version of the international ordering section of its website and implemented new flat rate international shipping.

(May 7, 2015) – In a move to double its international sales over the next 18 months, Swanson Health Products recently launched a new version of the international ordering section of its website,, and implemented new flat rate international shipping, starting at $6.99. Although Swanson’s major international markets are Canada, China, Australia, Japan and Great Britain, the company currently sells direct to consumers in 173 countries and has operating partners in 51 countries that distribute Swanson products to retail establishments and on foreign language websites.

“Our new partnership with DHL has allowed us to cut international shipping rates by about 40 percent and offer flat rate shipping below our major competitors,” said Ken Harris, CEO of Swanson. “We expect our lower overall cost to propel this business into rapid growth.”

Swanson is also increasing its support to its international distribution partners, improving its supply chain logistics and making more products available as more foreign language websites are launching. Swanson and its partners are also increasing their presence on international marketplaces like Amazon and TMall.

“The Swanson brand in foreign markets is very strong and increasing because of the growing middle class in Asia and South America and the high perceived value of authentic American made vitamins and supplements,” said Harris. “Selling prices in foreign countries are at least twice what they are in the U.S. and margins are very strong.”
