Great Shampoo
Nature's Gate Aloe Vera shampoo is great and works very well. This is not the first time that I have used all-natural shampoo, but after using this shampoo I will never use regular shampoo ever again.
It smells like bubble gum without being too strong, but the bubble gum scent does not stay in my hair after rinsing it out. Also, it cleans very well without drying out my hair. I highly recommend this shampoo.

Good product
This lathers very nicely, has a good smell and works great on my chemical sensitive skin!

personally
This product does the job-- cleans my hair and leaves my hair feeling soft; however, it makes my scalp itch and redden. I don't know if it's a personal allergy or what the cause for the itchiness is, but I will not be ordering this shampoo again.

Nature's Gate
Nature's Gate has changed a bunch of their products for the worse. The ingredients have been changed for the worse - cheapened, and deleted healthier previous ingredients for unhealthy ones. I was very disappointed and had to return this before even opening it. The label was different from what the net site showed, but maybe Swanson has already updated that by now. I had to return this without ever even trying it, once I read the new label. Very disappointing!

Cumulative Effect
I have hair to about the middle of my back, the longest I ever remember having it. What I discovered is that when hair gets this long, some special considerations need to be made. Although it was pretty healthy overall, I noticed some things weren't working for me. Namely, added silicones in my previous shampoo. I don't necessarily believe silicones are all good or bad, but for my situation, they were beginning to become problematic. My scalp would get oily while my ends would be fine. My solution was to shampoo my scalp and condition my ends. The problem here was that the silicones becentually built up and weighed my hair down in a big, greasy mess. What I like about this product is that it gets my hair nice and clean, and does not contain the silicones that cause build up. Contrary to the ingredients list listed here, this shampoo does NOT contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which some people seem to experience some drying effects from. The trade off here is that the shampoo has a slightly gelatinous consistency to it, which some might not be used to. It otherwise behaves like regular shampoo. As for its performance, my hair was a little dry and damaged as a result of the clarifying shampoos I tried previously to rectify my build up problem. I definitely needed the conditioner to make my hair more manageable after shampooing. However, that said, I've noticed a marked improvement in the mattiness/severity of tangles after washing after using this product for two weeks. Because I am no longer having build up issues, I can now wash my hair every 2-3 days without feeling disgustingly greasy on the last day. The cleansing is gentle, and doesn't make my hair feel "stripped." This shampoo, or any other shampoo, will not undo any damage that's already there, however, like a good lotion, there is a cumulative effect. Although I still have a few dry, tangle-prone areas, they've calmed down significantly, and I've noticed a little more elasticity (eg, less breakage) lately. Overall, my hair is shiny, bouncy, and full of body...a pleasant change from the greasy, weighed down hair I had before using this product. The scent of the shampoo is similar to bubblegum...an odd choice that may or may not put people off. Personally, I find it pleasant, and so do my little girls. Fortunately, it's not very heavily scented, and you probably will not notice it after your hair dries. Hope this is helpful.

But it helps the effectiveness if you buy the conditioner too.

Best To Date!
This is a super product that left my hair shiny and more conditioned than it's ever been in a long time; no other shampoo; and I've tried plenty including Lush has been this good or for that matter more economical. I will be a faithfull user.
