Black Walnut Immediately when I opened this container, the extract was already very dark brown to black in color; that is bad. Extracts of the green hull of the black walnut should be distinctly green in color when the product is fresh, potent, and good. This product's color means that either the product is pretty old since manufacturing time, or else they do not have a good manufacturing process of this product, or yet still could possibly not be extracting the properties from the proper GREEN HULL of the black walnut at the correct time and in the correct way. Their literature does state, however, that this is supposed to be from the green hull. I felt like I wasn't helping myself by taking this due to its color, indicating it had already lost its effectiveness a long time ago. February 20, 2011
