Yes, they are weird, but if you follow the directions, you will have a tasty dish with a good noodle substitute. I'm not allowed any grain in my diet, or seeds, so these noodles work for me. They are also recommended by Pauline Nordin, the body building champion, creator of the FIGHTER DIET and the very famous BUTT BIBLE program for fitness.

Yeah they smell slightly like fish and are on the rubbery side but they are practically carb and calorie free for goodness sake! Enough said for me! Help me get full on my keto diet.

Sorry, but I'd rather have the calories and carbs or do without. These are gummy, smell disgusting, and just don't work for me, even with a good sauce. I ended up scooping all the noodles out and just eating my vegetables and peanut sauce.

I have to be honest, I was sceptical when trying these noodles at first. I was pleasantly surprised to find their texture was quite nice and when seasoned well they also have a pleasant flavor. Follow the instructions and rinse well, also allow the noodles a little extra time in the sauce/dish to absorb the flavors for full enjoyment.

Make sure you rinse under warm water then dry fry for 5 - 10 min, then add to what ever sauce you are using. Perfect for pasta cravings on low carb, wheat belly or whatever .

These noodles were so expensive & they came wet which makes it even worse. I am thinking of returning them. I know swanson will take them back, they are very good like that.

I've become a huge fan of the Shirataki noodles! They are so versatile and definitely satisfying. My diet has become much healthier as a result of using this product. Knowing that I can use these Fettuccini noodles to replace the regular makes me feel as if I'm finally taking the right steps in eating healthier. They've been a life saver as I've considered myself to be a long-time carb-o-holic. No more thanks to Shirataki!

I was looking for something to supplement my diet that was low cal. This product is OK, but did not like the texture. It seemed to be really gummy and chewy after I cooked it. If that texture doesn't bother you, you may like it. I thought I could replace regular pasta with this noodle, but decided it was not what I wanted.

You either love them or you hate them. I happen to love them. After you rinse off the liquid they come in, heat them and then add a low calorie sauce. This makes a great, very filling low calorie meal.

The noodles are convenient and quick. Perfect alternative to pasta. Good substitute for most of your Italian recipes. I love to sauté my favorite veges in olive oil then add the noodles and stir. May add chicken, beef or fish or leave it a vegetarian dish. Also, stretches the meal to serve more family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gudfood Great Find!
I bought this for the purpose of replacing grain pasta noodles, as I am not allowed to eat any kind of grain currently. As an added bonus, this has zero calories! I mean how awesome is that? Anyway, I bought this kind and the angel hair version, which both turned out to be great. Just make sure to rinse before you blanch the noodles to get rid of any fishy taste. The scent is very strong (fishy), but disappears once it has been rinsed and blanched for a minute. I've tried this with creamy sauces, tomato, and even sweet sauces. It absorbs the flavor of your food without contributing anything other than noodle texture and added fullness in your belly. I love this product, and would never buy pasta noodles again if it weren't for the price. I personally prefer the angel hair for the texture, but they are both great. I love this stuff and can't recommend it more. Out of everything I've bought so far, this one is my favorite.

Rated 4 out of 5 by howiserin Great low carb, but MUST rinse
This is a great product for a low carb, low glycemic diet. I've done both and used these noodles during.
They definitely need rinsed and you can boil and additional couple of minutes to ensure that the "fishy" smell, taste is gone completely.

This stuff stinks, literally - but once it's rinsed off and cooked per directions, it tastes good. The texture is a little rubbery, however it all held together and I actually got to twirl gluten free pasta on a fork. For those of you who don't know, most gluten free pasta falls apart into smaller bits. This is the closest to real pasta I've had since going gluten free.

Rated 1 out of 5 by imdeen Technically they are edible, but...
Yuck! The noodles still smelled a little like fish even after rinsing for way longer than the package recommended. The noodles didn't separate and were hard to even bite in half, had to use my fingers to rip apart. They were very chewy and rubber like, kind of hard to swallow. It sounded like a good idea, but I think I'll just stick to regular noodles, carbs and all.

Honestly I have used these for a while now and would serve them to even the President of the United States and the First Family! Easy to prepare, versitile and not one of my friends believes they are VEGIES cleverly costumed as noodles! If someone buys them and DOESN'T like them, I offeer to buy their unopened packages from them. I especially LOVE making Thai sauce and using these as a base for my Asian meals.

I was very surprised how these noodles did soak up the flavor of the sauce I used! It's not the same as pasta, but you can't beat the nutritional info! I made this with spaghetti sauce and lean beef--excellent!

These noodles were awful. They were tough, slimy and 1 package could in no way make 2.3 servings.
I would rather take the hit on the calories and eat rice noodles.

Want pasta with no carbs? Then this is your product, of course with a little compromise. DON'T FREEZE it when you get it. Keep in the fridge. It gets tough to eat. Do follow directions and your dietary needs will go a long way. I toss it in the meat pan during the last 3 minutes for flavor or saute with a little seasoning for flavor. It has none of it's own flavor.
It's worth the extra effort.

Ordered this fettuccini out of curiosity because my husband and I love pasta & sauce but try to avoid wheat. We followed cooking instructions but found the texture slightly "slimy" and with no taste, so the flavors of the sauce are important. Those wanting to avoid gluten and reduce calories might find it rewarding, but we're going back to spelt. Glad I tried it, though.
