Great for oily hair! This is a great product - no toxic ingredients. It is a bit on the runny side, so you do have to use a little more than you would with a product containing sodium laurel sulfate, etc., but it's worth it, and the best price I've seen for the amount of shampoo you get and the healthy ingredients. My daughter gets an oily, waxy build-up on her hair, and she uses this shampoo, plus on a weekly basis, she uses 10 drops of tea tree oil and 1/2 tsp citric acid in her shampoo dose, and the waxy, oily buildup is gone! A little weak I have thick hair and use a beeswax-based molding clay that can be a little difficult to get out. Tea tree based shampoos usually work very well. However, with this one, I have to wash my hair twice. The first time, I can't get the shampoo to lather. It does get the stickiness out of my hair, but my scalp doesn't feel clean. The second time, it lathers well and all is good. While it's not a bad shampoo, I don't like washing my hair twice every shower (no time!) and I don't like using so much shampoo. Other brands (also purchase from Swanson) have worked more effectively, but I prefer the more natural ingredients of this one. I probably won't buy this again. I may buy the conditioner though. That stuff is great! September 23, 2011
