Rated 5 out of 5 by Sherwood83 Amazing HYDRATING conditioner for dry/ frizzy hair
I have very long, thick, frizzy when dried out (wavy when hydrated) hair. A volumizing conditioner is not normally what I would be looking for.
Fortunately the other reviewers let me know that this product is not really true to it's primary advertised volumizing property, but smells and conditions great.
After letting my long hair get dry and gnarly over the winter, I decided that I had to either cut it or start tending to it with more care (had been using giant pump of cheap coconut-based conditioner that made my hair too dry and fine which led to tangles, hence why it had gotten so unruly).
I set about finding a good product to bring my neglected locks back to life:
The ingredients list shows that this is a high quality product; the main ingredient is aloe vera rather than water or some chemical filler product like many of them. It has no petrochemicals, which is a beauty rule for me. And as a bonus there's hardly any drying alcohol: 17th versus 2nd or 3rd ingredient compared to other brands.
I love it, after using it with good results for a month I did a conditioning treatment by applying a generous amount before wrapping my hair and spending 1.5 hrs in the sauna, then rinsing it out after. The next day a (male! and straight - lol) friend of mine was fawning over how gorgeous and shiny and healthy my hair was :).
I have another friend (my great hair twin) with very long, curly, thick hair who I was just recommending this product to yesterday.
I don't understand why Mill Creek is trying to market this as volumizing conditioner. If I had thin, limp (in want of volume) hair, I think it would be awful because the hydrating oils weigh hair down and can make it look stringy. But for my long, frizzy hair that can suffer in the harsh, dry Colorado climate, this is an amazing product at a totally reasonable price (1/4 the cost of the brand I used to regular).
If you want moisture and strength, I say this is a great option.

I don't know why they call this "conditioner", because my whole family had fly away hair after using it...not volume as it claims, just static!
My daughter's forehead broke out in awful pimples from it, and she had never had a pimple before in her life. My back broke out really bad, even though I always soap up after I rinse conditioner out. Hubby also broke out and had itchy scalp and skin, said it was the worst conditioner he has ever used. All of us have straight, natural, unprocessed hair (no dye, bleach, perm, etc). We don't use a hair dryer or curling irons...just simple wash, condition, and go.

Product use: Add volume, moisturize, and refresh hair.
My hair: Wavy, Fine, Color-treated
Review: I cannot say that I notice any additional volume but this conditioner is amazing!
It smells so refreshing and 'like nature' I'd use it for that alone. Note- it is not a heavy, lingering, overpowering scent. It's similar to line dried laundry vs dryer, where this is the line-dried.
The texture isn't quite like regular conditioners and it goes on feeling a little thin and a bit like you didn't really put enough in but just go with it.
Use the same amount of conditioner you normally use, work it in the same way you normally would, then wait the 2-3 minutes (or whatever the directions say), and rinse. Do whatever you normally do to your hair and voila!
My hair is left feeling soft and manageable and smells amazing. I usually use this after the Smooth as Silk Deep Moisture shampoo (also on this site) for a God-like level of softness my husband just can't get enough of, but the conditioner has been amazing with everything else we've used it with.
I also use this for my 2yr and 4yr olds and in addition to spaghetti & other gross food stuffs, combs slide right through their hair like magic. One has stick straight hair, the other has Shirley Temple curly.
Will continue to order and highly recommend you do the same!!!

Seems to work great and is better value than organic conditioners in stores.

I am slowly getting chemicals out of my house, and last month it was shampoo and conditioner. Shopping through Swanson's website is a joy - they had exactly what I was looking for and the conditioner is wonderful. It does what it says - volumize - and truly leaves my hair in good condition and looking fuller. Good product that smells good, too.

I had been using a more expensive product for years, with good results, but decided to try this product because it contains no added chemicals. I must say, I was pleased that it performed as well as the product I had been using.

Quite pleased with the conditioner and shampoo. Leaves my hair so soft, and full. I have fine hair and it just feels fuller (not really thicker) and great after using these products!

Ok, so it doesn't volumize, but I don't care! It smells great, and leaves my hair soft and tangle free. My very fine long locks go down to my butt, so it's important that a shampoo rinse out clean and leaves my hair tangle free. I only wish it really did volumize!
