Good for Mechanics I bought this soap for my hands and face but it's like LAVA with a lavender scent so it's more appropriate as a gift for your favorite gardener or mechanic--it belongs in the garage --too smelly for the bathroom. September 25, 2012

Doubles up as a shave bar This soap is so moisturizing that I've used it as a shave soap and got no irritation. It lathers well and has a mild scent. The only downfall is that the bar when moistened, has a slick gummy feel which at times can be hard to grip since its a hefty size, or pick up from a shower caddy since it gets stuck a bit. But other than that, it is a good quality nurturing soap that I would consider safe for sensitive individuals since most soaps can be really drying or heavily perfumed. October 25, 2011
Best Bar Soap Ever! I gave this soap a try, because it was so much less expensive than any other brands I've seen. It was for my mother, who also loves lavender, and I'm so glad I tried it! It was a huge bar, and cost about half any others I've seen. The smell is terrific, too--just like real, fresh lavender with a slight undertone of clean, newly homemade soap. My mom is thrilled with it and even uses it on her face. I tried it, too, and plan to get a bar for myself on my next order. I don't know how it could possibly be better! April 5, 2011
My favorite soap I was so excited to see that Swanson carries this soap and at such a great price. It's environmentally friendly while also getting the job done by keeping me sparkly clean. Really like I love the smell of lavender in body soap, this bar soap not only smells great but the added olive oil makes my skin soft. My entire bathroom smells wonderful. Be sure to keep this soap in a place where it can dry after each use. I did cut the soap in half, the bar is huge, but it is like getting 2 for 1, and the half bar is much easier to handle. I use this to make Laundry Powder I use this soap to make Laundry Powder. I am sensitve to chemicals and this makes up a good effective Laundry Powder. I use a fine grater and shred the entire bar. Add 1/2 cup borax or borateem. Add 1/2 cup Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda. Mix it all together thoroughly. To use: put 2 tablespoons in the washer. You will not need any fabric softener, the clothes come out wonderfully soft. This makes enough for approx. 30 loads. August 19, 2010
