I use it for brushing my teeth... eating, cooking, as a supplement for the caprylic acid content... and it never hurts on a spot of dry skin... ;)

I have been using Swanson coconut oil until this order and was delighted with it. I have decided to try Jarrow's and I really regret it. The oil smells and tastes like vaselin or petroleum. I have been trying to overcome the smell by blocking my nostrils but still tasted disgusting. The label assures me that it is organic and expeller pressed. Could the manufacturer in the Philippines have subtituted an inferior product? Is it possible that somehow the plastic jar interacts with the oil in the jar?

Rated 5 out of 5 by gmaof7 Yeah, a neutral tasting coconut oil for cooking meats & savory foods, and able to use it for those in the family who do not like the flavor of coconut.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Veber poor quality coconut oil
I am on the hunt for a great quality, organic coconut oil. This oil was grainy and not a high quality product. I was disappointed in the texture of this coconut oil. It did not spread or melt the way coconut oil should. It also comes in a plastic container. Would not recommend buying this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by reviewing tasteless
This product is nearly tasteless, if that's what you are looking for. The tall shape of the container makes it somewhat difficult to scoop out once it gets low.

Rated 5 out of 5 by walkmywalk great cooking oil
I used Nutiva coconut oil before, which has a strong coconut flavor. That one is suitable for baking or making dessert with. But when it comes to daily cooking, like stir fry veggies, I use Jarrow coconut oil. It doesn't have any taste, which is appreciable when cooking with tofu dishes, or making a simple bacon mushroom omelet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by staninguff Excellent!
This is an excellent oil and makes a great substitute for part or all of the oil in cakes and muffins. This one is expeller pressed so doesn't add any undertones of coconut to any foods. But, if you want that coconut flavor, just by the Extra Virgin Brand. Either way, this Jarrow Formula brand is a great product. I fried my eggs in it the other day and no difference in taste from veggie oil - just more healthful. I will purchase this again when I need more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by allabouthealth Great for cooking
This coconut oil is just as the label states, "ideal for cooking". It is not extra virgin coconut oil, so it does not have a strong coconut flavor. Several reviewers were disappointed in that. I don't think they understood what they were purchasing. I use this oil when I don't want the food I'm cooking to have a coconut flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by shortGram love this product!
This is a very good product. The coconut oil is of very high quality. Since it doesn't have a smell or taste it is especially easy to use in anything. Love frying foods in it as it has a very high temperature quality. It makes great popcorn. And uses for the body are endless such as on hair and skin. And since it is organic I feel safe using it. Couldn't be happier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mermaid so so coconut oil
This particular one didn't seem to have that nice coconut aroma to it. It didn't have the pizazz the others have when added to food. Something seemed lacking. The price was VERY good and it said organic and that is why I tried it but when it softened in the heet it had little balls in it and just didn't seem to be a quality find.

I love, Love, LOVE this coconut oil. It has a light, fresh scent and flavor. I use it to cook with, to bake with, I add it to my favorite organic body lotions and use it to make my sugar facial scrubs. It's also great to super condition hair!!

the advice is to refrigerate after opening - but it is so hard, you cannot get it out of the jar... does not seem to be oily like the other coconut oils I have purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rocketcitysales Organic at its best
This is the best Organic Coconut Oil on the market. I have tried many and this one has the best flavor and is great for cooking. There is a hint of coconut smell and flavor but for cooking and eating this is the best product around. Makes great no bake desserts with recipes from TT website. This larger size is perfect since I use it daily for cooking. Thank you Swanson for providing a valuable product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trekkie14 Nice taste and texture
I prefer a cold pressed oil, but don't want to taste coconut often.
I really enjoy Jarrow's Brown Label coconut oil - for me I can eat this one right off the spoon. It almost has a soft chocolate texture and just and ever so soft butter like taste.
Also coconut oil helps me a lot when I have a long day of mental concentration to be doing. It's my little blessing in a jar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by notomarx Good without the taste of Coconut
I got this product for the great value and price. It is Organic Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil. It is still as good as non-expeller pressed Coconut Oil. Expeller Pressed means Heat was used to make the Oil. Coconut is a Saturated fat, heat does not effect it as it does with monounsaturated fat like Olive Oil. It is still 100% good. I use expeller pressed when I don't want the smell or taste of coconut - like for skin care and for cooking where heating it removes the taste anyway.
This was such a good bargain I could not refuse.
