  • Strengthens joint & skin function

  • Organic source of bioavailable sulfur

  • Suitable for vegetarians/vegans

For an organic source of bioavailable sulfur, try Jarrow MSM Sulfur. Sulfur is an antioxidant mineral found in major structural tissues of the body such as cartilage. The sulfur from MSM is used to produce glycosaminoglycans (or mucopolysaccharides) present in proteoglycans such as chondroitin sulfate, dermatan sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. These sulfur containing glycosaminoglycans are found in high concentrations in connective tissues, including joint cartilage, skin and collagen.

Well Kept Secret I've been buying Jarrow MSM for several years at my local Healthway store and I consider it one of the best kept secrets in holistic health care. Friends at the gym, who mix their MSM with orange juice, told me about its wonders and they were accurate in their reporting. My own experience involved several hours of tree trimming work that resulted in aching muscles. I was going to take a non-sedating muscle relaxant (Skelaxin) but decided to mix a couple grams of MSM in some OJ to see what it could do. 30 minutes later the aches and pains completely disappeared. Talk about shocked - I couldn't believe how well it worked...and in such a short time period. MSM also provides tremendous energy, so be careful not to take it late in the day. I also noticed that my skin, hair and nails improved after a few weeks of MSM. If you've ever tried MSM in lotion form you'll know how slippery it makes the skin. Supposedly MSM powder does the same inside the body. Imagine more elastic veins and arteries, so supple and slippery smooth that plaque can't stick. If MSM powder has the same impact in the intestinal tract, polyps should have difficulty adhering as well. My Healthway manager, who is also a pharmacist, advised gradually increasing the dosage of MSM over a period of weeks in order to avoid the one initial side effect of using MSM - diarrhea. At her recommendation I've taken as much as 5 grams per day without any issues, but results are obvious with even the recommended 1 gram dose. Be sure to hang on to the 1-gram scoop that comes with each container so that you can share the scoop and a little MSM with a friend or loved one. :-) July 31, 2014
