J.R. Liggett's Bar Shampoo bar shampoo is made the old-fashioned way—by hand, the way they did it over 100 years ago in New England. No synthetic oils, no chemical concoctions, no plastic bottles and no detergents, this shampoo will not strip the natural oils from your hair... meaning most people do not need a conditioner when using J.R. Liggett's Bar Shampoo. It's great for permed or colored hair, and even hair with a natural curl. This shampoo is earth friendly and user friendly with no preservatives, no animal products and no animal testing.

Ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, caster oil, fresh pure New Hampshire spring water, sodium hydroxide (a binder), Organic Jojoba Oil & Almond Oil with essential oils of Peppermint for fragrance.

Good for permed or colored hair, and hair with natural curl.

Because it is not a liquid, each bar offers the approximate number of usages as a 24 oz. bottle of most modern shampoos.

Had to try it! I did not like it as a shampoo cause it dried out my hair, but it is just fine as a soap...I prefer, however a more perfumy smell..The fragrance was more of am old fashion apothocary type smell...whatever that means. April 18, 2013
Wonderful Whatever I could say about any of the J.R. Liggets shampoo bars would not be good enough. They left my hair clean and super soft and SHINY, it makes a very rich lather and yet it rinses very easily. I was afraid it would feel odd to use a bar of soap-shampoo in the the hair, but it leathers so quick that you do not feel any entanglements, nor will you need any conditioner. and its great knowing these are 100% natural ingredients, zero animal products, or cruelty tests.I seldom recommend anything, regardless if its good, however these shampoo bars are so wonderful that I could not hold it for myself, try it and see for yourselves.
