Yerba Mate Loose Tea Traditional 4.8 5 6 6
Energy Tea This tea is better than coffee for a great pick-me-up. December 13, 2014
It's better than a typical cup of coffee This mild tasting Tea mixture has a lot of getup and go. As I understand it does have naturally occurring caffeine but it seams different than coffee caffeine, not jittery, but smooth and long lasting. I brew some up and use it in my morning smoothies. Because of it’s mild flavor I can add almost anything and it’s better than a typical cup of coffee. July 11, 2013
I use this in place of coffee. it has a dark rich flavor, does'nt have an after taste. Low acidity, does not upset my stomach. I don't get a buzz from this like coffee, but it does improve energy level. I really enjoy this hot or cold. June 28, 2013
BREWING I find Yerba Mate Herb Tea to be everything it's been brewed up to be for several hundred years that we know of from the leaves and stems of the holly tree that grows in the Atlantic Rainforests of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Those South Americans, and then later people all over the World, drank it for its delicious, robust taste, and what they claimed were more physical and mental energy, as well as improved mental acuity, general nutritional values, digestion, and good elimination. Personally, I've only been drinking it for several decades, but I concur across the board. I'm not like most people. I like the convenience of Herb Tea in tea bags when that suits me. However, mostly I like bulk or loose tea / herbs like this Traditional Yerba Mate that I can put by the Tblsp or tsp (depending on the herb) into my two quart pot with other herbs and B t B, R t S (Bring to Boil, Reduce to Simmer for about 30 minutes). I strain my herbal tea concoction into a large Fiesta pitcher. I store the extra in quart bottles that I have recycled from my pure cranberry juice. Real, serious tea drinkers would cringe from reading what I just wrote about how I prepare my herbal 'tea' concoctions. But it works for me, and I like the finished product, which I generally drink at room temperature throughout the day to keep hydrated. I get the results I want. This Yerba Mate bulk herb is great stuff. The 16 ounce package is more economical than the 25 tea bag product, and it lasts longer. I like those factors as well. June 3, 2013
I am Inviting the Pope over for a mate! I just read that Pope Francis I is a mate drinker :) I really love Guayaki Yerba Mate. I think the flavor is just divine with a spoonful of honey. It lifts my spirits and keep me regular ( we all know just how important THAT is :) ...lol. I started with the tea bags but switched to the loose tea because I have been sharing it with everyone that stops in....I am not expecting Francis will stop in real soon but, I am ready when he does...I have a pot of hot mate brewing everyday in my tea press. Cheers! March 14, 2013
just follow directions All the claims are 100% correct! February 14, 2013
