Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap I use Pine Tar soap to wash my rather large beard. Grandpa's brand is by far the best I have come across. April 19, 2013
Pine Tar Soap This is the best all-around soap I have ever used: body and hair both. Gets me super clean and smells good, too. March 18, 2013
Not what you expect It is different, no doubt about it. Simple ingredients, simple product. It has a distinct smell, if you looking soap stuffed full of fragrances, this is not it. Lathers very well, rinses clean without a dried out feeling. No harsh chemicals, just soap. Give it an even shot, be objective. October 30, 2012
Don't let the smell put you off, this is the greatest bar soap!! It leaves your skin so soft and takes care of dry skin!!! June 1, 2012
Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap This soap has a very different but very pleasant aroma. Its more authentic and NOT contaminated with perfume. At this price, I will definitely be stocking up on these for the whole family. October 23, 2011
Pine Tar Soap I've read some of the negative reviews about this product...you've got to be kidding is all I can say. It's "pine tar" soap...just what in the world were you expecting? It smells like pine tar...just like it says. My family makes fun of me using it...but then my daughter asks me why I smell so good. Some like it and some don't. For those that don't...it doesn't make it a bad product so they should take a chill pill. It lathers well, cleans well and I like the piney-woods smell. It's a man's soap and it does the job. I used to buy it years ago in drug stores...then it wasn't available. Until I decided to search the net. A terrific value at Swanson's. July 12, 2011
Natural Soap Good for your skin and a great value at Swansons! This soap is great for sensitive skin and lathers well! June 15, 2011
absolutely awful smell I reviewed this a few months ago and they didnt post my review. why not, swanson? This soap was so awful smelling it deserves a second effort on my part to tell you . If you take a shower with this soap , you will smell like a rubber tire factory for a whole week. I'm not joking. walk into a tire store and take a whiff. This soap leaves a worse smell than that. love this soap this is the best soap money can buy. I use it on my hair, much better than shampoo. November 11, 2010
do not like the smell Lathers well, rinses clean. Just do not like the smell. October 28, 2010
The pine tar soap smelled so bad that I threw away all 3 bars after ONE shower!!! October 17, 2010
Good stuff Smells good. Lathers well. Makes you squeaky clean! July 4, 2010
An old Friend This stuff is a top notch Cooty killer...I have used it on babies (30 years ago), the dog (to squelch Newf-odor) collie-aroma, and to generally rid the ills and stench of the body; think chicken coop in March, or swamp foot! It has the romantic smell of a week in the woods camping, of something roasted over an outdoor fire, of ski wax (grunvalla) and all things sacred and wild. It is so mild to the skin that you can think of it as a beauty bar, and the same goes for the body wash. This "ain't yer Irish Spring" this is far better! April 18, 2010
Good Soap Grandpa's Pine Tar soap is better than any other soap I have used. I feel clean and refreshed when through bathing. Will buy again! February 19, 2010
So comforting! I adore most of Grandpa soaps, but the pine tar is just about my favorite. The corn soap runs a very close second! I just love the smell of Pine Tar. It reminds me of when I was a little girl. Some people don't like the smell, but in a world where there are so many commercial fragrances out there, its nice to mix it up and baffle a few people by smelling like pine tar! HA! I get a kick out of it.Plus it just feels good. :-) February 15, 2009
