I wish Giovanni didn't use fragrance ingredients in their products. It says "natural fragrance" but won't tell what it is, and I believe it must be some processed form, therefore acting like a synthetic, because my nose doesn't like them (kind of bothers me). And also has a really fake scent. In addition, their shampoos really dry my hair out badly and cause it to frizz. Some of those cleansing ingredients in there are on the harsh side. This one contains sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, which is an extremely harsh cleanser. Makes my hair frizz and feel like straw!

Great Product
I recently purchased Giovanni Shampoo. Being over 55+ it has enhanced the overall texture and feeling of my hair. I have been letting my hair grow out to a more natural manageable length and it feels so soft and also looks shiny and more healthy. Thank you Swansons for offering this particular product.

For dry hair..
Love this shampoo for dry, bleached hair. Works wonderfully and twice as nice when I use the conditioner with it. Does make my hair silky.

Great for curly hair
I'm in my late 50's and started having a problem with hairdye allergies a year ago, so I've let my hair grow out naturally.. I have very thick and curly hair, and with natural 50 something hair, it was feeling rather dry, kind of like straw, despite my using gobs and gobs of conditioners. I started noticing that regular shampoos and conditioners were making my scalp itch, too.. I tried Smooth as Silk for the natural ingredients and to help add moisture back into my graying hair.. It did the job! My hair is soft, smooth and silky again and no itching what so ever.

Smooth as Silk Shampoo
This is a very good shampoo which I alternate with the Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. It leaves my hair thick and shiny. Really like this shampoo.

Pleasant Surprise
I have thin hair that tends to be dry most of the year but this shampoo was great! My hair felt moisturize before I even used the conditioner. The price is amazing and my orders always come quickly. I love this shampoo

Best Shampoo Ever!
I've always had thin, frizzy hair that I can't control. This is the only shampoo I've found in over thirty years that actually makes me like my hair! My hair is softer, fuller, shinier, and actually pretty. Might not work for everyone, but for me this shampoo and conditioner combo has saved my hair.

Best Shampoo ever
I've been using this line for 2 years and absolutely love all their products. I actually requested Swanson to carry them. It only takes a dime size to get a good lather; smell is wonderfully refreshing. Smells like fresh cut sweet grapefruit. I also use the conditioner that goes with it. I have tried most of the lotions as well and often give out sample sizes for gifts. Wish Swanson carried the 2 oz. sample sizes, they make wonderful stocking stuffers at Christmas. Love to wrap 3 different scents together and give as gifts to teachers, beautician, mail carrier, etc. : )
